He made a very intelligent decision by picking rules that were ludicrously stacked in his favor.
He lost anyway because he's a useless loser and he's fighting a guy who squashed Brock Lesnar.
And yet the best they can come up with for a ratings grab for next week is having him get another title match except this time he doesn't have the advantage and instead Drew does.
What?

I can only assume it's something where the stip is Ziggler's not allowed to challenge for the belt anymore or he leaves the brand/company.
I mean, f***, is there something inherently wrong with having McIntyre beat a veteran like Ziggler to pad out his reign? Not really. But Ziggler has been in this role for LITERALLY years now. It's the same thing that got everyone's dander up about Big Show and Kane to the point where it ended up being a meme. It's always THOSE guys.
And the concerning thing is... Who is the saving grace supposed to be for SummerSlam? That young upstart Randy Orton. Best work of his career or not, he's still been around 18 YEARS, most of them as a main eventer.
(See, I can be critical of WWE when I want to be)

I like Ziggler and defend him when people act like he was never over, but who honestly thinks he’s a threat to a world title. Hell, they did an angle years ago about he could never win the big one, and he’s right back to that.

I’m not even expecting him to be a threat all the time but there was zero harm on some occasions to have him win a title match he’s put in every so often, even if it was just going to be a transition reign, to build up his threat a little. Like, that feud you mentioned, would it have been so bad for him to beat Ambrose at the time, brag about it for a month and then get his at the next PPV? Because that’s been a tried and true method used by heels for the past few decades at times.

Dean needed and deserved his time to shine. He was the last Shield member to have his time in the sun as a solo act. I was actually talking about the Miz IC title feud in 2015. He won the big match but quickly went back to the loser.

It probably didn’t make sense in hindsight but even then, you wouldn’t have built it that way anyway but that’s just me. But yeah, that IC title feud was literally the last time Ziggler got any kind of big reaction and they blew it right away because heat I guess?

The problem is, Dolph is a joke. He was a joke when he first challenged Drew. He was a joke when Drew let him pick the stipulation. He was a joke when he still lost. He was a joke tonight. And he’ll be a joke next week. You can have a filler feud and still make it interesting. But it’s hard to imagine anyone being even remotely invested in this feud.

Should have picked a stipulation of where you have to rip your opponents tongue from his mouth.

Should have picked a stipulation of where you have to rip your opponents tongue from his mouth. Should be a Loser Changes His Name To Evan Bourne Match.

Should have picked a stipulation of where you have to rip your opponents tongue from his mouth. Wish they'd put Triple H in one of those around 2003.

I smell another Dolph Ziggler “Imma leave the WWE because imma not good enough” angle for the fall leading to a “shocking” return at Wrestlemania

I smell another Dolph Ziggler “Imma leave the WWE because imma not good enough” angle for the fall leading to a “shocking” return at Wrestlemania Well, considering he just signed a 2-3 year deal (I think), that’s probably not happening until 2023.

As Drew said last night to Dolph
“Bugger off”
Dolph does not belong in a title feud in 2020. Stop inserting him into title programs. It just brings the Champion down as well and I don’t want that for Drew.

Dolph winning at Extreme Rules really wouldn't have done McIntyre any harm.
The rules weren't in his favor.
Giving Ziggler a shock win would've been interesting.
Whats NOT interesting is pretending to take him serious when everyone knows hes a loser.

I didn't pay loads of attention to the match because....Ziggler.
But did he even do the obvious thing of throwing Drew a chair and taunting him to hit him? I didn't notice it happen and it seems like the most obvious spot for the match.

If Dolph [writers] or any time a wrestler gets to pick his/her match were smart he would have made a stip that pretty much guarantees he wins the title from Drew. like you cant touch me match, im the ref, if i get just 1 punch in i win match..this is why i dont like any time a wrestler gets to pick the stipulation they always look dumb.
