I'm definitely OK with this. Hopefully, they are allowed to help.

I’m skeptical. Bryan is a notorious yes man. * Standing applause *

I'll try to give them a chance but it's so hard to still get excited over any changes to creative. Heyman was supposed to be the saving grace of Raw when they brought him on and if anything things got even worse under him.

I like this a lot, as long as they're left alone and able to do what they want to do for the most part.

I absolutely believe that Vince won't be fooling around with Edge and Daniel Bryan. Add in Kevin Owens consulting 'em and they're all fine. Heyman just don't have the grapefruits in him anymore.

Who would've guessed in 2005 that instead of Gabe Sapolsky, it would be Bryan Danielson in this role. LOL.

Makes sense,at very least all the news claimed Edge was in charge of all the ideas of his feud with Orton
Which also explains why he gets so defensive nowdays

Meltzer didnt say that they're part of the writing team. Simply that both have creative power on their own character's direction

How about using some of those on Legends contracts come in, talk to the younger roster, how to get character/gimmick over, develop promo skills/bounce ideas off of them, hell manage some of them

If Vince really is serious about wanting to push young talent and is finally starting to admit he doesn't know what makes a star anymore, then he really needs to let this happen. Edge has always been good on creative, and Bryan I imagine, knows what people will want to see if he had any hand in the Big E stuff tonight and the four way. In the end they have to answer to Vince and his rewriting OCD and obsessive needs though, which could tank this after a few weeks, but at the very least there seems to be FINALLY some newer blood being injected into things, blood that has pull, because Pritchard is proving to be pretty ineffective. Yeah, if i recall Bryan was on the creative team before briefly during his GM of Smackdown era, and he eventually had to just stop going b/c he couldn't stand it. Let's hope this time is different. Knowing Vince he'll get bored of this in a week or two, or somehow it'll threaten his fragile ego, and he'll get stubborn and think he's right and undermine it in some way. Seeing as how he's been the biggest detriment to his own company for decades, I can't help but see him fall back into his complacent megalomaniacal ways. I'm not optimistic. But I do hope it's different this time as said. Meltzer didnt say that they're part of the writing team. Simply that both have creative power on their own character's direction Ahhhhh, nevermind then.

I love that Edge getting over on his own is essentially deciding to have an affair with Lita. Dude was floundering as a heel and got booed as a face before that happened. Its crazy how wrestling works.

Meltzer didnt say that they're part of the writing team. Simply that both have creative power on their own character's direction Yes, he did. The quote is: “Edge on Raw and Daniel Bryan on SmackDown both have significant creative influence. The term I was given is they were part of the writing teams of the respective shows right now.”

Forget putting them on the writing team- sack the goddamn writing team and give these two the book, as in let them be actual pro wrestling bookers.

Honestly, the writing team might as well not be there considering who is control. Hell, one of the writers they fired in that purge earlier this year won an Emmy. An Emmy. WWE’s wanted an Emmy for so long, 2021 is literally the best opportunity they could get one since there’s literally not much else airing on TV at the moment. And not only did she get heat for bringing in the Emmy, her reward for it is to be on the same fired list as The Ascention, Eric Young and Tanyana Conti.

New voices that are respected wrestlers, especially these two, are exactly who they should be going to. Unfortunately, Vince still has final say and who knows if he'll even listen. I don't have high hopes going by past actions. My thoughts exactly. This will look good to the investors on the quarterly call, but that's all.
