Meltzer reported in the Observer this week that Edge and Bryan are pretty much part of the writing teams for Raw and Smackdown now.
Makes me think Bryan is behind Big E getting a singles push as he’s mentioned how high he is on Big E in past interviews.

Great
Their voices will be heard without question and it is just a logical move to use two of your vets in this capacity. Two smart men who are going to focus on the big picture and not small time goals

Young (ish) voices that Vince might actually listen to is always a good place to start with in the writing room.

Two great minds for the business. I’m 100 percent on board with that.

I’m skeptical. Bryan is a notorious yes man.

I really like the idea of actual wrestlers on the writing team. Especially ones that people respect. I dig this. I can’t wait to see how it all goes.

If there is one person Vince does not want to risk losing by pissing off, it's Daniel Bryan. If there are two, Edge would be the second.
Absolutely, Vince will let them have their heads at his company's peril. Let's hope they're up to the task of pulling ideas from just about everywhere to see what might stick - because those ideas may be needed to save WWE at this point.

See, stuff like this makes me wanna watch more. I'm gonna keep my eyes open a bit wider as I trust them and their input. Edge, we know how he thinks given the podcast and his numerous interviews. Bryan well, I mean as soon as he was injured we really saw what he thought about things so yeah, they're perfect.
More wrestlers on the writing team equals better wrestling.

This is exciting. Two great minds that have been so selfless during their tenure. Hope they can change things up a little bit.

New voices that are respected wrestlers, especially these two, are exactly who they should be going to. Unfortunately, Vince still has final say and who knows if he'll even listen. I don't have high hopes going by past actions.

Who'd have thought that having actual wrestlers in that position instead of Hollywood writers would actually *GASP* work?

If they're just going to hire wrestlers anyway, why hire 8 million TV writers?
Oh, because Vince is a stupid man with a lot of money that he gives to people to tell him he's a genius.

If Vince really is serious about wanting to push young talent and is finally starting to admit he doesn't know what makes a star anymore, then he really needs to let this happen. Edge has always been good on creative, and Bryan I imagine, knows what people will want to see if he had any hand in the Big E stuff tonight and the four way.
In the end they have to answer to Vince and his rewriting OCD and obsessive needs though, which could tank this after a few weeks, but at the very least there seems to be FINALLY some newer blood being injected into things, blood that has pull, because Pritchard is proving to be pretty ineffective.

That's probably the biggest note to take away from this. They are two vets, and if they can gain any semblance of trust and control in the writing process moving forward it's gonna help the wrestlers, but with Vince it's a big if.

I’m pretty much completely cynical this’ll actually lead to anything besides the two of them leaving the creative team in a few months time but I guess props should be given for at least trying that.
