From Pro Wrestling Torch:
"Impact Wrestling on AXS TV on Tuesday this week drew 163,000 viewers, up from 156,000 the week before and 135,000 the week before that. The average since March 24 has been 145,000. So it appears the buzz generated from the Slammiversary PPV on Saturday night with the arrival of Heath Slater, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson and the returns of EC3, The Motor City Machine Gunns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley), and Eric Young may have helped add some viewers. Impact drew more viewers on May 12, and nine of the first ten weeks of the year it drew more than 163,000. The empty-arena setting has correlated to drops in viewership in the single digit percentages (5-10 percent, roughly) compared to projections based on seasonal ebb and flow in viewership annually.
Impact has averaged 147,000 viewers since April. It averaged 174,000 in January, February, and March. That’s a drop of 15 percent. Impact, like most wrestling shows, would have likely experienced a single-digit percentage drop in viewership without the pandemic. What’s not known is whether the absence of other live sports on cable had sent led to some viewers actually watching pro wrestling who wouldn’t have otherwise. That will begin to be tested in coming days as live sports returns to cable.
Impact is, by a wide margin, the most viewed show on AXS TV.
In the key 18-49 demo, Impact drew a 0.05 rating for the first time since Feb. 25, tying its high demo rating for the year. NXT, by comparison, drew a 0.17 rating in the demo, more than triple Impact’s rating in that demo. AEW drew a 0.32 in that demo, more than six times Impact’s rating in that demo.
The no. 50 ranked show on cable on Tuesday drew a 0.13 rating. Impact was right around the 103rd most watched cable show on Tuesday night in that demo, tied with “Road Kill” on Motor Trend among a few other shows with the same demo rating."

If they can grow, I am glad. Impact's done things to hurt their good will with me before, but I still would much prefer if they can carve a niche than if they can't.

The more stable and potentially growing promotions we have on the national level, the better for the wrestlers, assuming business practices are on the up and up.

Anybody have any idea what they do on Twitch since Impact airs on there still as well. Since AXS TV network is only in a small percentage of homes. Business must be good to sign all these talent into it which is good for wrestling. Since we have no idea if and win MLW or NWA even gettings back to doing shows. So we have the big 3 right now.

I don't know the average, but this past week, they had between 8,300 - 8,400 viewers at their peak, & just below that for the good majority of the show.

Didn't NJPW on AXS used to do about 500,000 viewers at its peak? As far as Impact goes I hate to say this but there's too much wrestling on TV and Impact is one I just dropped from my viewing. It was like watching low rent trash.

If they stop hiring people with history of bad behavior, I'll wish them no ill will.

Impact has had positive momentum the last 2-3 years but they keep having shit happen that sets them back a few steps
If they could manage a "clean" year, they will be fine.

Yea, with new talent like Myers, Slater, EC3, Good Bros you got some good people on your team who are hungry to prove themselves Give them the ball and let them work. Stay away from these troubled people since you don't have that luxury of keep doing this with them. Yes, Swann and Moose have worked but you also have El Patron and Tessa on your ledger

I wonder if they ever get a shot on a legit Cable Channel again. Because for them to keep momentum I think eventually they need to aim for something like that, and right now is the time, Cable is starved for new programming.

AXS participates in Nielsen ratings now? I thought they didn't bother.

The issue that Anthem, Callis, and D'Amore have had to deal with is that Dixie made TNA scorched earth with a lot of networks. Even with rebranding the name the show Impact is recognized. So my understanding is a lot of companies are hesitant to even give the front office the time of day for a pitch

With Anthem owning Impact and a majority of AXS I don't think that the goal is get on a different channel. I think Anthem's goal is for Impact to grow, make money off the twitch deal, merchandise and PPVs and help AXS grow. If that works then they'll be happy. Worked out well for Turner with GCW/WCW.
