They should be signed but lol at the shot at the "other companies". Brian should probably learn about stones and glass houses before trying to criticize other companies and their handling of the women. Especially since every other company in America sans ROH books and features their women way better than AEW does still. NXT, yes. Smackdown, sure. Raw? It's... yeah, no, Raw is easily beneath AEW there. Impact, though, yeah, fair. The knockouts seem to be a big focus for the company during times when the company is experiencing any kind of health. When things go to shit, the division seems to one of the first casualties. Fortunately, now is not one of those times. Even Smackdown's been slipping lately with the aimless Riott Squad/Natalya & Tamina matches with the faces losing every week, and Bayley was surprisingly not on the most recent episode.

Emi staring at Maki Kong has that vibe of "Cool grandmother who could also lariat your head off if you try to steal her Werther's Originals".

True, though I am giving them some credit for getting Bianca some shine with stuff like the obstacle course that got them attention even from non-fans, so I know I'm cutting them slack, but that has been impressive.

I'd easily rather watch most of the women's talent on AEW compared to Raw or Smackdown, especially once the joshi become a regular fixture again.

Emi glaring at Maki Godddaaaaaaaamn, Aja Kong is cool. Also Yuka doesn't look ready for the camera to go off, which is pretty much in-character.

I can see being more tired of seeing so much of the same women in WWE, even if they are more talented. It’s too bad AEW seems to still be limiting how much you’ll actually see of their women on Dynamite and PPVs, though. Hopefully that changes soon and we can see them getting some prime slots on TV, multiple Dynamite matches consistently and multiple PPV bouts.

I can get behind this idea, and next year hopefully it will be with the crowd coming back. Idk if I ever see a full on AEW Japan, however some specials until the damn panedmic travel restrictions lessen or go away completely wouldn't be the worst idea, because then some of these girls can come to the US with some established points ranking system records.

I'd love for something like an AEW Worldwide Youtube show that showcases their foreign talent when they're abroad.

I'd love for something like an AEW Worldwide Youtube show that showcases their foreign talent when they're abroad. Yeah, that would be a much cooler idea. Like possibly see if they could get some matches from TJPW and places like that to showcase certain talent or even when they’re able to, how the talent are doing on their potential excursions and promote where to see their matches. Like, a branded show might not be the best idea but a gateway show to promotions they’re tied with is the best middle ground.

Doing another Japan tournament in 2022 with the goal of introducing us to unknown, young talent is a good idea, In 2021 the tourney introduced us Maki, Mei, Veny, Rin. AEW isnt gonna hire every Joshi, with just giving them a platform to show can they can do to the audience is enough.

They dont gotta sign all the Joshi especially if they find working arrangements where they can book them like they were pre-pandemic, just thought potential showcase cards every now and again wouldn't be the worst idea if we don't see the Joshi in the US before 2022 due to travel restrictions. But we'll see, the summer of this year is gonna be crucial for that I think.

That's just it though, I think on average, the women's roster in AEW is more talented than the one on Raw or Smackdown. Raw and Smackdown are also very top heavy with Sasha, Bayley, and Asuka (and to a lesser extent, Bianca) doing a good job of hiding the warts of the rest of the two divisions.
And from what I've seen, the usage of the women on Raw and Smackdown isn't exactly great lately, either.

It's good that the Women's division is stepping up in 2021. Deeb/Riho has to be the best Wonens match in 2021, at least in North America. We've also had Rosa/Baker, Yuka/Ryo, Rosa/Riho, Britt/Nyla, 6 Women tag, Tay/Nyla and Tay/Deeb
That's a strong set of matches and in terms of match quality it's been better than any company or brand in North America
Hopefully they can continue this momentum

Nyla vs Ryo on Wednesday, if they want to keep Nyla strong, have Vickie screw up in accidential fashion if they want Ryo to go over.
Look this match can go either way, im not ruling out Nyla winning.

They have Thunder Rosa and Brit Baker on their team but yeah let’s give Nyla another accolade.
