Yuka coming back is such tremendous news. I hope with the pandemic stuff lifting more and more we start to see more Joshi return and broaden the feud pool a bit
Yuka ve Baker seems like a no brainer as there is built in history. Idk if you can build her for a title match in a month but she technically does have AEW wins this year thanks to the Tourney. Give her some Dynamite and Elevation wins and you could have a great Baker/Yuka match on your hands at the end of July.
Hell have Yuka beat Nyla since Nyla seems to bound and determined to try and fight Baker.
Above all else... Yuka vs Abadon, PLEASE.

I'd rather they push the women they have. Give storylines to Tay, Statlander & others.

Yuka shows up for a couple of wins, Britt or someone to Britt bring up that Yuka has defeated Britt before, but not vice versa. Maybe Britt wants to demonstrate that she isn't the same performer anymore, she has evolved, so Dynamite title defense, probably a great match, Yuka goes back to Japan. Easy setup.

A hot program will evaluate the division so much more

A hot program will evaluate the division so much more I mean, they care about Britt, plus whether or not you care about Yuka, she was one of the first women in the division, and before the pandemic, she did appear and get booked strongly. It'd put over Britt, and give her a quick title defense with some build behind it and just make her look like a bigger deal. I would like to see angles with, say, Abadon or someone like that, they do need to get more of the women on TV, but a special attraction that ultimately puts over Britt isn't anything to sneeze at, either, especially since it isn't like you just want to feed the regulars to Britt nonstop, either, and risk hurting their credibility in the long run.

Nobody really cares about yuka, to me she is just another random joshi wrestler. Is it just you saying that as your opinion or do you have anything to back that up? Because if we're judging by crowd reactions from when she's been around, that's clearly not true.

I like your idea of giving abadon a program & something to do. Look at rankings & you'll see a line of performers who Britt should face; Nyla, Tay, Kris & Rosa. A temporary joshi worker is a heatless program.

I mean, I have too and I know that she's been over consistently since she was there and the only reason she hasn't been there more is because of a whole global pandemic that's affected travel. I can very easily watch the early Dynamites where she was over when crowds were around, too, with my Fite TV subscription. Just because you forgot her doesn't mean she wasn't over or forgotten about or else she wouldn't have been in the Women's contender tournament. And yeah, fans care more about people who are consistently there because they're consistently there. That's not really what I'm saying, either.

I didn't like the Shida vs Ryo ppv match because unless you're a joshi aficionado there's no real investment. Ultimately story trumps matches & you're not getting that with short term joshi workers. Meanwhile, Tay, Red Velvet, Deeb, Abadon, kris etc got big reactions at fan fest / don tapings

Along with the fact the crowd was super into Shida/Ryo as a match. Like, you're tip-toeing past my point of "stop saying joshis aren't over just because you don't like joshis" which is what you have been doing repeatedly.

Yes and also Yuka has one of the more prominant early moments not only in the early women's division but in Baker's initial heel turn. Baker knocked out one of her teeth via a Curb Stomp while she was forced to bite the bottom rope You don't need much to re-establish this and I am gonna assume they're gonna treat the road as a means to re-introduce some wrestlers and some plotpoints especially for the upcoming show specials. It wouldn't be hard to do this with Yuka if they wanted to. Yuka having banger matches for a month isn't a bad idea either though. Though I would not have her lose every match. She should be like Ryo and reasonably protected but can still lose to bigger names (Shida and Abadon). Yuka's also one of arguably the best female wrestlers currently on the planet so regardless it's gonna be awesome having her back and especially back on the road. Put her with anyone and it will rule.

Shida is insanely over. Riho is one of the most over wrestlers on the entire roster. Yuka was over when she was across the states. Ryo's gimmick was getting over the more she was featured. And lest we forget Maki Itoh got one of the biggest reactions of the PPV she was on crowd wise. And what are you talking about with no real investment in Ryo and Shida? There was an entire tournament to build Ryo up which concluded on Dynamite where she beat Nyla Rose. The crowd really enjoyed that match and were going nuts by the end of it for how much they laid into each other. That is "real investment", that was a crowd who was very invested. EJM said this already but you are blatantly ignoring or dodging his point. The pandemic did play a large role in a lot of the Joshi not being around. It didn't kill their overness nor the crowds desire to want to see them either. Riho got insane pops from the very same Double or Nothing crowd vs Deeb. The crowds missed them and want to see them. If you don't want to see them fine? But stop twisting the narrative that the Joshi aren't over with crowds and can not get over with them, even in some cases with the limited exposure they were given due to the shitty pandemic. Just because you forgot about Yuka or don't care doesn't mean other fans don't and aren't excited about her coming back. And if people don't know who she is? She will give them ample reason to care. Yuka is one of the best female professional wrestlers in the world right now. You put her with the Statlanders the Deebs the Conti's? It's gonna be great matches, that tell a good story. And with full crowds back, I can see them getting into it big time.

Aew absolutely needs to push and prioritize their own in house women, but Yuka isn’t stealing any spot or delaying that. If she were to appear on Dynamite and do one of dark or evolution that's more than they gave their actual champion. Her showing up and putting on bangers with anybody is more than signed wrestlers get. imo she's above anyone there but she can eat pins to put over anyone, and while I don't think her being unknown is true, even if so, why can't she show up and get people interested? Yuka or any "random joshi" showing up and wrestling for a couple shows isn't a brave departure from what AEW currently does.

Also, like, it gives more variety to the roster and ability to do side stuff with special attractions. If you need some time to build someone, you can have Yuka try to get revenge on Britt for what she did to her pre-pandemic, fail and then have her be saved by your next challenger, your Contis, your Statlanders etc.

Of course, Shida's reign wasn't exactly a winner for the division. She was never involved in a story or interesting angle & the title became an afterthought. That pretty much proves my point that storylines are more important than match quality & why ppl think Britt will lift interest in the division. I don't know how great yuka is in the ring, tho aew have deeb, rosa, Riho etc. The men's side boasts a lot talent too, but the main event always revolves around an angle because that's draws ppl in. Same should apply to women's division.

Women's division has been most criticized part of company for some time until recently as likes of Britt, Tay, Rosa etc have established their personas. To start bringing in joshis again to fill matches is a step back.
