Yeah, especially with the women's division, I get the impression that AEW's brass have low key decided that all of the complaints are from the sexist (and racist) crowd who hate the wrestlers, period. And not from, y'know, people who want to see Kris Statlander and Big Swole have actual angles.

To be fair if they're looking on Twitter or other socials and looking at criticism I can get how it could look that way to them. There are a ton of really toxic people out there. They need a mole so they can look at places like FAN

In every single thing I have sent to AEW via social media I have explicitly said that THEY are letting the wrestlers down. The women themselves are not the problem. I am far from the only one this is true of. What a disingenuous question and what does Britt think is being said if that was so readily her response? In a way Britt was close to do a very WWE lite response of "Its the fans fault". Yeah, especially with the women's division, I get the impression that AEW's brass have low key decided that all of the complaints are from the sexist (and racist) crowd who hate the wrestlers, period. And not from, y'know, people who want to see Kris Statlander and Big Swole have actual angles. A lot of people did quite a 180 on Swole after All Out 2020, Kris is someone that should be featured, Im beginning to understand that AEW doesnt trust a lot of women in doing in ring promos, maybe afraid of the fans chanting "What" to them. They let Shida cut a in ring promo pre DON yes, but it was just a generic one and not a back and forth exchange with Britt.

I think the talent see the trolls being douches and see that as the criticism and just ignore the very valid concerns people have with the division. Like, for me it's never been "well the women weren't putting on great matches, so the division sucks." It's always been "they don't get enough time on Dynamite and they don't get the Epic Cody Storylines." Riho, Shida and Nyla were putting on bangers before the pandemic, it's never truly been about match quality.

I think what has to factor is what is mostly seen by talent and others in terms of that stuff. Like, it's no secret that women wrestlers are treated differently and their responses reflect an entire different landscape so it's easier to think all you get is negative responses when that's all you see. I'm not justifying it at all, it's more just unfair to brush it as "Well, they're blaming the fans". And I'm not sure what the easiest solution to it is.

Kris vs Allie was a good match and glad that Allie was ok after taking Kris finisher.
We got the weekly Jade promo, and progression for Britt vs Nyla with the women title match happening at FF Night 2.
JR was kinda hinting Vickie might not wrestle next week, some could assume its Thea replacing her but...what if its Yuka?(She has history with Britt)

I've suspected from the start there is going to be a swerve, perhaps involving a surprise debut or return, his words tonight all but confirmed it (to me at least).

It's a singles with Suzume so I don't think Yuka is going to be able to pull out of that. Though it is a small enough show that I guess they could do a quick sub, but I'm of the opinion Yuka Sakazaki will not be in Jacksonville Wednesday.

Yeah, I had very little doubt that Vickie isn't actually wrestling in that match. She'll show up. She'll even wear ring gear. But I think there's going to be a swerve of some kind.

Have to assume that Thea will be the swerve. Makes sense considering how good of a tandem she is with Andrade.

Trinidad is the most logical choice out of the free agents who are big enough to get a debut like this. There's not really anybody from the indies who would work, or who AEW would debut like this instead of starting in enhancement matches. I could see a luchadora debut if they had someone who inspired a lot of confidence in the office, but that would probably fall flat for the audience.
The most disappointing not-Vickie-played-straight options are probably Abadon and Diamante, the first of which would make for a great moment and set up another challenger for Baker, the second of which would reinvigorate a solid wrestler who's been jobbed out for the last half-year. Neither really clicks with Andrade foreshadowing a "surprise" that he was working with Vickie on, but that's not a bad floor for expectations.

Also, Hyan was in the front row, so y'all can rest assured that I'll shut up about her needing a tryout. No guarantee that I won't be at least a little annoying about hoping she gets signed, but after being disappointed that Davienne never got even a second look, I've lost a little passion for hoping. Harlow O'Hara and Sahara Seven out there with her, too. Looking forward to all three of them on Dark (presumably).

Count me in on thinking it's gonna be Trinidad. Been thinking that ever since they announced the match.

Riho vs Kilynn can be a good match.

The easiest match they couldve booked for next week even by using WWE tactics wouldve been Nyla and Rosa vs Britt and Rebel, the good old CAN THEY CO-EXIST storyline.
For real I hope there is a swerve and Vickie gets replaced and obviously the replacement has to be worth it.
