Yukas send off match in 3 days at 6:30am East time. So that means she will be ready for the Miami show.

I feel that Kilynn King will get a tour of Japan under her belt once things open up. She's tracking nicely and I think that working with the Joshi would really help since it's no shock that her best matches were with Ryo and Riho.

I'd love to see Kilynn do a TJPW excursion. I think she'd do really well over there.

It's not a bad thing by any means, but she could probably up her game by being more of a scary hoss - which is the exact sort of thing that a run in Japan is often good for. I'm thinking of how Jack Evans got the hang of wrestling like a star when he was brought to Dragon Gate as an attraction.

Yeah, having clashes with Mirai or Miu can help her improve to wrestle like a powerhouse.

When one woman gets it like Beth Phoenix they will be a huge star.

Where's Shida? Apparently having the time of her life? [twitter url=''] Given that Hyan and Diamante recently did a game of flip-cup in the middle of their no-ring death match, I am choosing to believe that those two introduced her to the game after talking about potential death match ideas.

Im surprised that AEW wont give Kilynn a deal(if Cody was for real in Sammys vlog), if so then what was the point of forming RSK?

Im surprised that AEW wont give Kilynn a deal(if Cody was for real in Sammys vlog), if so then what was the point of forming RSK? Idk how serious Cody is being or if he's drumming up suspense. Because the whole reward for the "Friendlympics" is a spot in the Nightmare Family. Which you would think implies some form of contract and being around AEW regardless of what happens. King has 12 AEW wins. Would feel very odd for someone with that many wins to not be around at least on DARK when they open their new studio location. Still waiting on news for that...

I wouldn't be surprised if King got a lot of those wins as an "in case of further joshi travel delays, break glass" contingency. She was never booked to look better than the signed talent, but she was good enough and had enough going for her that they could have flipped a switch and pushed her at any moment. Hell, it might even be that they don't see a spot for her just now, but they want to ensure that she gets bigger attention from the indies after grinding away for them during the pandemic - which should pay off if the world has any justice in it, because King is good enough to make a splash in just about any indy right now.
Re: how this relates to the Cody speech, it could also depend a lot on the nature of Dark when it moves to a studio format. If Dark is block-taped, it would be in the interest of the talent - and possibly AEW, if they're invested in that talent getting better - to make sure that all of the promoters around the country know that even if these wrestlers are sticking around in AEW, all of them are going to need some indy bookings.

Bring in someone like Holidead and the best you can do is squash her in under a minute?

Bring in someone like Holidead and the best you can do is squash her in under a minute? Getting squashed in AEW doesn't really mean shit in the end if they want to push you. Hobbs jobbed in 10 seconds to Orange Cassidy early on. Probably won't be the last we see of her.

Kris Statlander works outside dates likewise Serena Deeb. Signing with aew & getting outside bookings not mutually exclusive

Bring in someone like Holidead and the best you can do is squash her in under a minute? I mean, Harlow O'Hara didn't even get a match. Given that both Holidead and Hyan are Texas-based, I'm curious if they will get booked during the upcoming Texas shows. Of course, AEW could just as easily book Dustin's trainees, Jazmin Allure, and Vertvixen instead. Could also just be that they were primarily booked for the purpose of an in-person meet-and-greet to see if they're a good fit going forward. It is a bit weird to see them at this time. Hyan and Holidead really could have made a difference holding down the fort during the height of the pandemic, as could Davienne and Ashley Vox. In particular, these wrestlers are popping up at a time when AEW frankly needs them less: they've established Leyla Hirsch, Red Velvet, Jade, and Tay Conti in that time period (and could have established KiLynn King in the same way if she had been signed); Yuka Sakazaki is back for this coming month, with probably more Japanese stars to come after her; and Ruby Soho, the IInspiration, Chelsea Green, and Thea Trinidad are now all free agents to be wooed. At this point, maybe the likes of Holidead, Harlow, Hyan, Willow Nightingale, and the Sea Stars are being judged for how well they compare to the bigger names available. Maybe the departures of Shanna and Kong just opened up spots for them - especially Holidead and Hyan, who have strong backgrounds as trainers and could take the coach spot that Kong had on paper. It's a very strange collection of tea leaves and signals. There's a lot to speculate about, but little to make firm conclusions on.

I'd really like to start seeing longer matches on Dark and especially Elevation more regularly. The constant squash matches are getting old and repetitive, and even the one match that was given "decent" time in Kilynn vs Riho felt like it could have used at least a few more minutes.

I assume when we see the new formats we will see longer matches on both because they can better structure their cards/tapings Elevation will see 3/4 matches of AEW Talent taking on one another and potential scouting of local talent DARK will be in its new studio location and will more than likely have more squash/enhancement matches plus more competitive tryouts and AEW Talent vs Talent showcases We're essentially finding out who is staying with AEW and who isn't this week. We have one more Daily's taping and then it's onto Miami and wherever the hell DARK is going so... we'll know soon.
