Cody's always been invested in Britt Baker specifically as well. Apparently her heel turn and presentation has been one of his personal babies, so cool to see him give her a Piper's Pit sorta show.

Kenny also has the right idea with a New Japany sorta tourney, wouldn't mind seeing that more to develop the girls.

God I was excited about the prospect of the NWA Girls crossing over with AEW but the IMPACT WOMEN crossing over with the AEW Girls? F*** me man if it happens that's huge...

I just realized with this AEW x Impact partnership, we could potentially have a DEMON BUNNY reunion! Rosemary and Allie had such great chemistry together.

Between actual story advancement with two angles at once and having a decent match not in a death timeslot, this was a good show for the women, even without factoring in the possibility of bringing Impact into the fold. Match could've probably used five more minutes but still, tonight wasn't bad.

I do hope that they don't end up relying on Impact's women to the detriment of building up themselves. In particular, I hope that the seemingly-signed-but-no-roster-page-spot crowd (Ivelisse, Diamante, Leyla Hirsch) still land in AEW...for the admittedly selfish reason that I was super hoping to see more Leyla Hirsch Dark matches, given that I am a huge mark for her. But generally, as much as I welcome seeing Jordynne Grace, Deonna Purazzo, etc. show up in the AEW women's scene, I also still want to see a division with Leyla Hirsch, Lindsay Snow, and Lady Frost in its middle.

They got good heat, Hirsch got a good rub post match too even though she lost, can see her breaking out in 2021. And Shida got a really good promo showing Abadon's in her head

It's the little things but they're finally getting it down with the girls and it's good

Didn’t allie Die in impact?

That’s the weird thing about letting wrestlers leave with their gimmicks, when they have other gimmicks in other companies/the indies. Sometimes when the wrestlers meet again in different gimmicks, there’s either a lot of retconning or pretending they don’t know each other

Honestly this partnership is a good move for AEW. Whatever else can be said, Impact has some of the best women not already signed by WWE. Having some of the Impact Knockouts do short stints in AEW definitely would be a boost for AEW’s women’s division.

I don’t want him much Impact these days, but I understand Su Yun is in a program with James Mitchell as various henchgirls. If a talent exchange is going to happen, I could totally see Mitchell bringing in Abadon as a hired gun to go after Su Yun. Or, Su Yun unveiling Abadon as her partner to even the odds.
