You feature your champions every week with promo time and a match or at least one of those options is getting signficant time but Shida isn't put on that level 

Her and Abadon had been good cause it was an improvement but they don't seem to take those positive steps forward to the next momentum 

Yeah. Story of the past month has been "better doesn't mean enough." The booking is approaching something natural and interesting, but it's still as tokenistic as it's been from the beginning.

If they actually intend to do more, this is good groundwork. But they've got a long way to go to demonstrate that the groundwork is going anywhere.

They also haven't been on Dynamite in that time, having lost to another thrown-together team in their last appearance.

I dunno, it's just weird to have the faces beat the heels in the first match of a feud that looks to have legs. This seemed like a clear opportunity for Ivelisse and Diamante to get a dirty win, which would have served the same purpose as the beatdown (motivate the faces to keep going), potentially set up a title defense for Deeb, and made Ivelisse and Diamante look like a threat to chase.

But then, Dynamite in general has been big on heels getting wins in big faction brawls but losing two-on-two matches. But that's usually when the faces are an established team themselves...

Idk I guess I dont mind them losing because while the teams were thrown together it was champions each time, Rosa and Shida, and then Deen and the top contender in Swole. I think they wanna keep Deeb and Swole up because that seems like the next NWA Title match, but I feel The Vixens will win on the next go around, which I think should be a Trios match, here's hoping anyway.

The builds been good imo

- Abadon makes a statement to Shida after she wins a match making her intentions

- Next week Shida gets a promo saying she isn't rattled, but then some pipes fall over and she's clearly rattled

- Abadon squashes Prince next week, Shida makes the save, canes the shit out of her, Abadon sits up, Shida shows she is not afraid, but is clearly shook by Abadon's durability and presence

- This week the build happened on DARK where after she beat King, Abadon laid her out with the Widow's Peak and raised the belt over her head, this is the only segment that hasn't been on TV of the build 

Also not factoring in how well they've built this on social media where a lot of Shida's selfies have had Abadon in the background stalking her in some way and she's been unaware until she posts them

Shida has a match on next weeks Dynamite, which will probably lead to another Abadon conflict, and I assume, a New Years Smash clash on one of the nights. 

Don't get me wrong, like I said I like the direction

It just feels in its own bubble as opposed to everything Bucks, Cody etc do dominates Dynamite. Like for me, final build should be on intense brawling throughout the show that people have to keep breaking up

AEW looks their clusterf*** brawls and Abadon/Shida should get that treatment w/Shida showing some resolve in that she isn't afraid and Abadon not giving a f***

The fact is the issue with Shida is she beat everyone, so they've been trying to use her sparingly until the year resets as far as I can see when she has a 20 win record and everyone else she has either beaten or isn't established yet.

Yeah they need to make more time for her, at least lately they have been giving her promos and segments to feature her on TV, but the biggest issue with the girls is establishing depth and a pecking order so it's not just Shida alone on a mountain, and I hope they continue to do that.

I guess we'll see what happens when she wrestles next week

I'd love if that was the climax of this. Like if the Shida match is quick, her and Abadon proceed to brawl and wreck shit to finally set this match up

What I'm curious about is if this gets Madusa back on TV. I think if she backed up Rosa it'd be a big deal.

I have to think that's a work on Britt's part, because that's all the sorts of thing she says in-gimmick and not close to how she talks about herself otherwise. (I don't see someone who had such a bad crisis of confidence last year that her ringwork went from good to bad actually buying their own hype.)

Madusa's response seems too personal to be kayfabe. Britt's tweet is clearly in character. There's a response for Madusa to make that is in kayfabe, but this wasn't it. It just feels like a personal attack. If this is in kayfabe and leading to some kind of angle, I'm more inclined to cheer for Britt at this moment in time.

Shanna said some stuff a bit ago that wasn't viewed in the best light. She deleted it, privated her twitter for awhile, before officially returning to AEW

Essentially, this is old news she could very well just let go and move on from but she's giving in to what I assume is hate DMs and such and bringing it back again

I'm absolutely loving the Shida/Abadon feud. Abadon plays her character to perfection and Shida really sells for her. Easily Shida's best feud since she became champ. Looking forward to their match next week. I watched their first match back a few days ago and it was a pretty good match, so this should be even better.
