I’d say the Good Brothers stuff was the testing ground and with Private Party coming for a spell, floodgates are widening. Personally, I would have done it first but on the other hand, the women were occupied with the tag tournament and Doenna was facing Rosemary and Taya so it wasn’t like they had anyone to spare.

To be fair, it makes total sense that the next step would get getting the tag teams involved, because Impact has steadily lost a lot of depth in their tag team division, with The Rascalz leaving, HEATH getting injured, Ethan Page leaving, the Deaners breaking up (though I guess they gained Violence by Design in the process), and even Alex Shelley isn't going to be around this next set of shows. Private Party taking an extended run in Impact is the best thing they could have gotten.

Yeah, was just thinking that they basically lost most of their teams, and a lesser extent a tag player like Jake Crist in Free Agency, so I can imagine that was probably first priority for Impact when this deal was done.

All I know is if they do not have Abadon and Rosemary interact on either show that is money left on the table.

I wanna see those two feud, team, whatever works better. Abadon could seriously benefit from working with a vet like Rosemary because she's still very young into her own career but she has a gimmick that WORKS.

If AEW can sign both Taya and Allysin Kay, though...well, they sure lose any excuse for talent depth, because at that point, the roster is really strong.

Arguably nabbing both Taya and Kay would sure up the division enough that if Thunder Rosa eventually went to WWE they'd still be ok depth wise. Still hope Rosa stays in the end though.

There's too much on the table for them not to tap into the Impact girls depth, there's a tag title they could actually share between brands. They have great depth and great workers, and a lot of AEW girls coming up could benefit from working with some of the Impact girls

All depends on how far they go with it but Impact tapes in huge bulk, it theoretically allows a lot of the girls and other wrestlers for that matter, work AEW on a consistent basis without much trouble.

I'd just about given up on Black showing up in AEW full-time and had thoroughly given up on Kelly, so I'd rank this news as pretty neutral to the prospects that AEW has in reach. Ryan would have been a project on the level of Alex Gracia, so I can't say that I think AEW really missed the boat on her. Kelly's the only one who would have really entered AEW as anything over the jobber level.

Why hasn't AEW given any other action figures to the female talent besides Brandi? No Shida figure or Dr.Britt Baker figure? I'm a little miffed this line has another Cody figure. He really doesn't need one

Business as usual for the action figure market, sadly. Every wave of generic Marvel figures is going to have a superfluous Captain America or Iron Man (or up to three Spider-Mans), while it's slow going for literally everyone else.

The Elite are the Movie Avengers of AEW, so that's going to be the case for a while.

I read all of posts about wrestling figures. Then I read this and some how it didn’t click and thought AEW released Riho from her contract. I was really confused

There's two Riho figures that just came out. One regular and a rarer variant.

I believe they will do a female wrestler every other wave in the Unrivaled series. There is also the new Unmatched series that Jeremy of Jazwares announced the other day. Not too many details, but the plan is for Unrivaled and Unmatched to ship every other month.

So potentially it could be at least one female wrestler figure a month.

That's fine honestly. Kelly and Black seemed like they were aiming for WWE or just not AEW at this time.

AEW has other options they can still take on the market, especially with the help of Thunder Rosa being almost a pipeline currently. Allisyn Kay and Taya Valkrie are also there.

It'd just be a less pesismistic tone because at this point we have been both positively talking about things and continuing to talk about where they could improve and general updates about the division in this thread.

In turn, it's becoming an all general purposes thread instead of "They NEED to do better", and I just think that kind of title would be better to reflect it, if anyone else agrees anyway!

The flags being on different bracket sides are maybe a coincidence but maybe they could have TJPW wrestlers tape or do their matches on one side? Nobody is headed over to America for a while so maybe that’s a way.
