Let's help our local community in dealing with the drug problem when James & Mike play NARC for the Arcade: -They never mention how they play the arcade version here. Best guess I am having is that they play it via the Midway Arcade Treasures 2 compilation (though the question here would be whether they play it on the Sony Playstation 2, Nintendo Gamecube or the XBox).
-Well, you are two narcotics officers shooting everything up in sight while you also have the option to bust criminals. But given the hectic pace of the game, you are probably shooting 95% of the enemies while only actually busting 5% of them.
-Gotta love the double standards in video games on display here: "Sure, you can gruesomely shoot up and explode all the human enemies in this game, but PLEASE DON'T ACTUALLY HURT THE ATTACK DOGS!" Though I like the creativity in the dogs being turned into puppies running away when you shoot them.
-Interesting thought process by them when they address the fact that the arcade versions of video games always got away with so much more despite being in a public setting while the versions made for private use (like for home consoles) had to be censored. One does think that it would be the other way around.
-If James's Harrison Ford dream has taught me anything, it is that when I want Harrison Ford to do something, I better have a bottle of Whiskey handy to hand over to him (though I still would have loved to hear more about his Bill Murray dream).
-Also a sweet fountain of knowledge is them talking about rating systems for movies. While I knew about how the PG-13 rating came into origin, I never knew that the general origin of rating systems came at the end of the 1960s due to movies like Night Of The Living Dead, Bonnie & Clyde and other movies (would have thought it was much earlier than that).
-Yep, that's one crazy final boss for this game.
-All in all, another entertaining video with lots of interesting discussion going on while playing a crazy game.

You are not in the mood to play as a blue hedgehog or a twin-tailed fox? How about a red echidna then like when James & Mike play Knuckles' Chaotix for the Sega 32X: -But first, let's get into James's arduous road on actually playing the game. A tale of various failed tries with different game cartridges, the realization that only certain Genesis models in combination with the 32X allow for the game to be played, even having to use a different TV in order to play it...just emphasizes again (like in the AVGN video) what a frustration the 32X (and with it the Sega CD) concept was. -Huh, I guess those Sonic characters (the armadillo, the chameleon, the bee and the gator) made their only appearance in the Sonic franchise in this one. Cannot say that they look familiar besides Knuckles. -Both of them do not know what to think of this game...whether it is a good or a bad game. All they know is that it is very weird and confusing and maybe the perfect game for serial killers to play. -Well, if I have to pay 10 rings each time I do it, I would sure like to know what the heck this "character spinning towards and away from the screen" move does. James & Mike certainly cannot figure it out. -Even with all the hardships behind them...the game freezes again. Luckily, the previous owner didn't erase his save spots so they just use one of those to pick up further into the game. Actually reminded me of doing something similar when I rented Mischief Makers for the Nintendo 64 where I just couldn't get past the "Olympic Games" part and one day when I rented it, one of the other renters actually played the whole game so I just used his save slot to play all the stages after that. Really helpful sometimes. -Unlike the previous Sonic game they played, I cannot see any boss fights in this (except for the final battle). A thing in this game or because James & Mike do not make it that far (it always seems to be at Level 1 in the stage select screen). -You have to ask yourself...did you at the time consider yourself cooler by virtue of playing the Sega Genesis instead of the SNES? -And...they actually defeat the final boss by using a save slot. Lucky bastards. And Sonic and Tails make an appearance, too. -A decent video all in all, mostly due to the interesting backstory and playing a very weird game.

You don't exactly endear yourself to the Be A Star campaign when you watch James & Mike play Bully for the Sony Playstation 2: -Wow, matching grey sweatshirts for James & Mike fitting for the game. Neat. Also, apparently one of them finally beat Ghosts'n Goblins for the NES recently (I would imagine Mike since he is the major live streamer of the two).
-During the course of this video, I cannot help but feel that I would have really liked this game. My Playstation 2 days can very well be summed up by me immensely enjoying the three major GTA titles on that one so a game like this with a different setting but the same basic gameplay would have been a surefire buy from me. Yet I don't remember any ads for it or it just completely flew over my radar (then again, it came out in October 2006 which was about near the end of the PS2's life cycle so that may have been a part).
-Oh my god, the Nerds basically look like James clones (also kinda fitting that the protagonist is named James). This also segues into a nice anecdote from Mike how he originally felt when seeing James in his Nerd outfit for the first time when he did the original Jekyll & Hyde video.
-Get a girl her chocolates back, get instant make-out session...that makes sense.
-Sure, this game doesn't seem like a lower scale than the GTA games but I kinda like the whole mission set-ups...shooting stones at football jocks during training via slingshot, escorting a nerd to the bathroom and to his locker etc.. I think it is the very GTA-esque vibe I get from this game that makes it fun to watch.
-OK, the class segments seem pretty unnecessary (especially the spelling in English class) but it appears you have to do them to get through the game easier.
-All in all, this looks like a very entertaining game and James & Mike did some decent commentary on it. *checks PS4, both the store and PSNow* Well, it is on there so I might have a game to check out one of these days.

It is the milestone 200th episode of James & Mike Mondays and what better way to celebrate than shooting up hellspawns like James & Mike do when they play BRUTAL DOOM for the PC: -OK, no mention by them in the video of this being the 200th episode, making me think that this just happened to be the 200th episode uploaded and not a specially recorded episode in particular. Though I can see why they chose this one for the 200 spot since it is again a game mod similar to how the show originally started with a Super Mario Bros. mod hack. -Yeah, this is what it says on the title: a version of DOOM with more blood splattering, the ability to do headshots, a couple of death animations for the enemies etc.. But more than that they mention that the levels are longer and differently arranged so it is not like just the regular DOOM with more blood. -This actually gives Mike a chance to talk about DOOM being a very popular game to be modded in general and you can definitely tell that he is interested in that subject. -Oh my god, that Tim Allen DOOM mod! -It also gives them a chance to talk about what kind of DOOM mods they would like like Star Wars mods, Star Trek mods (although they apparently already exist which is shown via screenshot) etc.. I wonder if there exists an internet rule: "Whatever is in existence, there's a DOOM mod for it." -The most useful attack in video game history...flipping the bird! -Yeah, that would certainly be among the most horrific punishments in hell: getting bucked up the *** by demons for a million years. -Overall, this was a decent episode although kinda disappointing given that the title mentions this being the 200th episode. I would have expected something a bit more from it than what we got.

We need to go get some bigger bananas when James & Mike play Peter Jackson's King Kong for the Sony Playstation 2: -This was actually a part of Kongathon back in March 2017, basically a whole week where all Cinemassacre videos were King Kong-related in anticipation of the new movie, Kong: Skull Island. I only remember watching this video because I was not interested in any of James's non-video game videos at the time.
-It is indeed weird to think how at the time of that game's release and moving forward, movie-based games actually followed the movie's plot pretty faithfully, reenacting various scenes from it. A major departure on how movie-based games were done in the NES era (*cough*BackToTheFuture*cough*).
-They mention that this is another game where the previous owner left various save states intact but I don't know whether they take advantage of it or not because they appear to progress through the game normally (although they do mention at one point apparently having skipped over the tutorial part of the game).
-I am surprised at how barren the game screen looks. I think over the course of the video the only thing that pops up is the amount of bullets you have for your guns when you play as one of the crew members in the beginning. Otherwise nothing, no health bar, no item bar, nothing really.
-Love the various bits of trivia they throw in regarding the Kong movies like how the 1933 movie producers actually were death-defying enough that they went up close to wild animals to film them, that Peter Cullen provided some vocal effects for the 1976 King Kong, that Kong basically finishes off the dinosaur with the same finishing move in all three King Kong movies up to that point etc.. Definitely some nice information to be gained here.
-It appears that the enemies are not the problem in this game but rather the camera angles driving James & Mike nuts (as in they should have named this game "King Kong vs. The Five Camera Angles").
-Peter Jackson being the director for the King Kong movie this game is based off also gives them a chance to do some Lord Of The Rings/Hobbit comments like how James actually liked the Hobbit movies as much as the LotR ones, how Gollum's voice is really annoying (though Mike can do a pretty good impression of him) and how the actor behind Gollum also did the movements for King Kong and Snoke in The Force Awakens etc..
-Hmm, somehow I want to believe that Mike's idea of Kong using the white lady as a projectile absent-mindedly must have been used at least once in a parody of some sort.
-When I look at Kong swinging and climbing along walls etc....I feel so much reminded of the PS2 Prince Of Persia games. Looking forward to the remake of Sands Of Time in March.
-Also like James recalling how flabbergasted he was when he watched the original Kong and saw him being felled by bullets when he was used to giant monsters like Godzilla being able to not be penetrated by mere bullets.
-Overall, this was a very good video with neat trivia that I have never heard about and playing an entertaining game meanwhile. Definitely awesome.

Huh, that's odd. I was definitely expecting to play as a teenage girl having alien powers when I heard about James & Mike playing Out Of This World for the SNES: -While I never played this particular game, it reminded me of another game. And, as it turns out, it was a game made by the same company called Flashback which was also released on the SNES. I rented that one maybe once, couldn't figure it out and then return it.
-This game has the same feeling basically, going for a Prince Of Persia-type graphical feel while also reminding me a bit of Heart Of Darkness for the Sony Playstation (including that in this one you can also die some violent deaths). It certainly looks like a unique type of game where you have to figure out how to progress through the game.
-Interesting discussion about whether or not rotoscoping was used in this game, getting them to talk about how rotoscoping was used for the He-Man TV series and wondering whether footage of that exists.
-Yeah, the whole video is basically just them doing trial-and-error stuff, having to find out the correct way to proceed, as well as their reactions to the various ways the character can die...and making fun of the potatohead alien the protagonist encounters.
-Overall, it is a good video mostly because of this being a really interesting game to look at and that's where most of the fun lies in seeing James & Mike trying to advance in it. Definitely entertaining.

So yeah, I admit when I heard the news earlier I was pretty bummed out and even considered ending this here and there since what would be the point of doing this when there are no new episodes coming out?
But then I enjoyed the above episode so I figured that I might as well bring this to an end even when this is now more of a "Remembering all James & Mike Mondays" in essence.
So you will get new posts in the future here.

You know what time it is? It's morphin' time when James & Mike play Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the SNES: -Another game that I rented a few times as a child. I always made it up to the second phase of the final boss but could never beat him, no matter how hard I tried. -You know you are already in for an entertaining video when it starts with James & Mike singing the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme song. -Just to show how this game is a bit more on the easy side, James recalls playing this with his daughter at one point and her managing the game just fine despite being relatively long. It also segues into this adorable story with her and the numbers. /)^3^(\ -So yeah, their connection with Power Rangers is basically that they were very into the first Mighty Morphin season as kids but after that only watched a few episodes here and there. For them, they actually didn't like when the suits, zords etc. changed every time starting from Zeo onwards (although they do understand the reasoning behind it due to Super Sentai). A major turn-off for Mike especially was when Tommy became the White Ranger instead of the Green Ranger and thought that the former looked less good than the latter...and that he had a lame talking tiger head and a tiger zord instead of the way cooler Dragonzord. -It is definitely neat to hear vocals in a SNES game which was not something seen very often. -Kinda sad that in their civilian forms, the rangers look quite unique in this game but when they change into their morphed form, they look like carbon copies of each other with different colors, i.e. Kimberly's ranger form looks as buffed up as the rest of them (personally, I found it also weird even as a child for her that her ranger attack consisted of hitting people with her bow which is not something you should use your bow for). -Talking about whether Voltron was inspired by Super Sentai and, strangely enough, whether the Turtles were inspired by Power Rangers (did they mean Super Sentai or did they just confuse themselves for a bit). Love the "Huh?" from Mike when James mentions the Power Rangers/Turtles crossover during the In Space season. -Also love them making fun of Billy's wimpy attack and Zack's genie pants. Have to say that I like that they play through the game the same way I did: doing a different ranger for each stage (although in my case I just chose from left to right). -Now there's an image: a guy floating in space taking the death star beam head-on. -Now there's an interesting food for thought: why do giant monster fights inevitably take place in the industrial zones? Questions among questions... -And they finish the game making this the first time I ever saw the ending for that game. That was nice to see. -To conclude, a very entertaining video with lots of funny exchanges between James & Mike while playing a nostalgic game (for me at least).

It is time to explore the finer intricacies of sequential art when James & Mike play Comix Zone for the Sega Genesis: -I agree with them. This is definitely one of the most unique and great looking 16-bit games I have ever seen so far with its comic-inspired style. Though James doesn't appear to remember that he played a game using comic book panels in the Batman game for the Commodore 64 that he played during the AVGN episode. In addition to the style, it also appears to have good gameplay and controls. -Never thought I would see James & Mike ponder the ways of the four dimensions like this, discussing whether this game counts as a 2-D 4-D game or something else. Really highly philosophical questions they ponder. But who cares about that when it segues into James reciting the opening monologue of The Twilight Zone? As well as them trying to sing the Gilligan's Island theme? -For some reason, they start talking about the Planet Of The Apes movies (both the old and new ones) and their weird naming conventions, getting confused about certain aspects of the titles and it somehow leading into quoting Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. They really have the weirdest conversation flow sometimes. -One fatal flaw of the game is that you only have one life which for James is one of the cheapest ways to add difficulty to a game. He doesn't disagree with Mike that a game shouldn't be so easy that you can finish it on the first try but having only one life is BS because it really deters you from ever wanting to progress any further through the game. -Yet they made it to the second level finally and there, they get another try after dying once. It makes me wonder a bit whether James & Mike not get something about the game that would make their lives easier or if you really get only one continue when you make it to the second level and if it would continue in that vein for the next levels. -OMG, James's reaction when he realizes that this really is the first "2 continues" game he has ever found: not one with no continues or one with 3 continues but actually 2 continues. -Overall, another very good video about a unique game and some really wacky convos between the two of them.

I dunno if I could eat only lasagna for a week. Because what else are you gonna do when James & Mike play A Week Of Garfield for the Famicom? -Technically, they are playing this game that was only released on the Famicom in Japan (because they couldn't get the licence for the US and Europe) on an NES cartridge because somebody put it on there. Too bad, I would have liked to see their Famicom again.
-Of course, a Garfield game gives them lots of material to talk about Garfield like James liking the early Garfield comics the best where he was really more like a real life cat than a character, how his daughter laughed a lot when he showed some of the more visually funny Garfield comics, how both James & Mike love Garfield Without Garfield etc.. Makes me wonder what they would think about the "Garfield Getting Thrown Out A Window" comics.
-Garfield vs. Snoopy would be an awesome fight although as they say Snoopy would probably win because he is more active. How this relates to Inception though, I have no idea.
-Gotta love how they make fun of Garfield's various animations in this game (like how he looks like a completely different cat when he goes walking on all fours, how happy he looks when he jumps etc.) and remarking that Garfield would never be this active in the comics.
-Despite thinking the Garfield real life movies were bad, they think that Bill Murray actually did a really good job in them. Wondering whether Lorenzo Music would have gotten the part if he didn't die three years prior to the release of the first live-action movie.
-Also love the part where they basically list all the reasons why this is not the worst game they have ever played by listing all the problems they encountered when playing other games. Might be a good game to watch that part and try to deduct which games they might be referring to.
-Love the infernal question to by Mike about whether James would have thought his voice-over video regarding Castlevania II would lead him down the path he is currently on, too.
-All in all, a decent video with some sweet Garfield discussion.

... ... ... Oh sorry, I forgot that this wasn't charades. I have to do a different approach when James & Mike play Use Your Words: -Joined by Ryan and...Vinesauce. Like with AlphaOmegaSin a while back, I have no idea if he is or was a well-known youtuber or whether he is still active or not. He seems like a pretty chill dude who can do a pretty effective pterodactyl call (though Shreeka still has him beat with that).
-Unlike usual, they don't say on which platform they are playing the game which doesn't make it easier since it was released for Windows and Mac as well as PS4, XBox One and Wii U. Going by them using their phones to type in their answers, I assume the PC version? Unless you can do that type of answer input with the console versions as well? Seriously, I don't know on which system they play this game.
-Now this looks like a really fun party game with a variety of rounds. Especially love the film subtitle one (making me wonder if someone from the former MST3K was involved with this because for these playthroughs we see clips from Gamera movies as well as Jack Frost. With the latter, it was funny because when I first watched this video back when it was originally released I hadn't yet seen the Jack Frost episode of MST3K).
-The contestants for this are Mike, Ryan, Vinny and...Dickubus.
-There is nothing more to say really except...albatross. No, seriously, it is just them playing two rounds of this game but what makes it an entertaining watch is them having a good time giving sometimes ridiculous answers in the various rounds.
-I wonder who that rather rotund camera guy is we see in one quick shot.
-So, yeah, another good video seeing a group of friends enjoying a party game and the joy getting transferred to the people playing the game.

I bet he could probably do something about Covid-19 if he were real. But as it is, we can only watch James & Mike play Dr. Mario for the NES: -I remember playing the Game Boy version a few times as a child but never going anywhere with it. I wasn't very good with these puzzle games in general. -As it turns out, this is not a game that Mike is familiar with as seen when he tries to play his first go like it was Tetris, thus, screwing up majorly. -I don't know if that is their imagination but can you really screw with the other player in this one, similar to Yoshi's Cookie and Palamedes? Having never played 2-player Dr. Mario before, I don't know whether that was a thing or not. -OMG, them humming and making sounds to the "Fever" music track in Dr. Mario. Not very high-brow humor, but it certainly made me laugh. -Oh my, their reaction to seeing Level 20 for the first time! At least Mike manages to defeat one virus when they try it out. -A rather martial arts/fighting sports inspired video with quoting "On The Waterfront" ("I coulda been a contender.") and The Karate Kid, naming it Rocky Karate and it somehow leading to referencing the 2013 Stallone movie "Bullet To The Head" which was apparently not a very successful endeavor. -To conclude, a decent video with a few fun moments make for a good use of your time.

It's back to Hyrule and having four times the fun when James & Mike play The Legend Of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures for the Nintendo Gamecube: -Joined by Ryan and Vinesauce again for this.
-But first, Dr. James tells us the origins of this particular game. I think what baffles me most is that for you to play this game on the Gamecube, you need a Game Boy Advance and a link cable. Multiply that by four to have a 4-player game. They also mention the jarring part of not seeing anything on the main TV screen when you enter the inside of a house, cave etc. (it is only displayed on the individual's GBA screen). Definitely sounds like a stupid system where you have to look back and forth between TV screen and GBA screen.
-Still, they do enjoy the Shadow Battle mode, basically a battle mode like in Bomberman where four Links have to battle it out for supremacy.
-Of course, the discussion again turns to everyone's favorite Zelda game and Ryan and Vinesauce also vote for A Link To The Past being the best Zelda game (we already know that Mike likes the original Legend Of Zelda best while James considers A Link To The Past his most favorite game of all time). This also leads to a discussion about the then-current Zelda game, Breath Of The Wild, and how good it is with reasons being given like: no 2-hour tutorial (like in Twilight Princess) where it just immediately starts you off in the world and that you can hunt animals in that game (they prefer going for the foxes as they are easy to kill). James also mentions trying out Majora's Mask for the first time...wondering if that will lead to a video at some point?
-James & Mike's quest to find someone who unironically likes The Phantom Menace turns into a dud again when Vinesauce mentions that he likes the movie...for the memes it brought mostly.
-At about the half-way point, they stop the Shadow Battle mode and try the main story mode proper...which they probably regret, immediately turning into a long non-skippable cutscene (despite them trying their best to skip it).
-Encountering the stupidity of having the main TV screen not display what happens in the inside makes them talk about that this is the main reason why the Wii U failed due to having to constantly look up and down from the gamepad to the TV screen. They also mention the Switch for the first time which, according to Wiki, came out about 1 1/2 months before this episode aired (April 2017).
-Love the cute story about how James has to be creative in order to progress through Super Mario 3D Land (I think?) with his 3-year old daughter while still keeping her entertained. This is kinda surprising mostly because when remembering my nephew when he was 3 years old, he probably wouldn't have had the attention span to play through a game with me.
-Also love them ragging on poor Tingle (who is even in the game itself).
-All in all, love them battling each other while having some interesting discussions, making this a very entertaining episode.

Huh, guess he didn't do only clues after all. Now James & Mike have to accompany him on Blue's Journey for the Neo Geo: -Main reason for doing this game as given by Mike: playing a game for the Neo Geo that isn't a fighting game. -It looks like an interesting jump'n run game (although it doesn't really look greater than anything on SNES or Genesis) though it is weird that in houses and shops you are set on a timer and, unless James & Mike push buttons too fast, you have the fastest moving cutscenes in video game history probably. -Things we learned: Mike's least favorite candy is Butterfingers while James doesn't really have a least favorite candy (he is mostly not too fond of the sour type of candy) though he does mention that his most favorite candy is Reese's Pieces (although he hadn't at the time of the video not tried out the Peanut Butter Cup version of them). -Of course, Reese's Pieces brings us to E.T. and how there was apparently another E.T. game on Atari other than the infamous one but that one would be very obscure I could imagine. -Look at Mike, the friggin' nerd, knowing all the AVGN episodes by heart and what they contain. -An interesting bit of trivia by James in that he originally wanted to do different characters for the different consoles like having the Angry Nintendo Nerd for the Nintendo systems, the Piss-Poor Playstation Poindexter for the Playstation, the Atari something-something for the Atari systems etc.. Could have been an interesting concept though we never know now. -This game certainly evokes images of other games like Adventure Island, Sonic The Hedgehog etc. for them both. -I cannot imagine playing a jump'n run game with a joystick like that. That must be friggin' terrible. -I like that they mention that they are glad to be doing this show because of just popping in stuff they couldn't do as kids like play Neo Geo games and giving their thoughts on it. -OMG, their reactions to the ending (especially James's) -Overall, another very entertaining video with lots of interesting discussion and a visually pleasing game to look at.

It has come to this...they really think that they are gods. But will they be peaceful or vengeful gods when James & Mike play ActRaiser for the SNES? -Joined by Ryan due to him being an ActRaiser expert. -That definitely has to be among the weirdest genre combos in video game history: a city simulation and a side scrolling action game rolled into one. I think I rented this once as a child, couldn't figure the simulation part out and returned it the next day. -That's an interesting thought: it was called Mode-7 but where did the other modes go? -The side-scrolling stages look pretty great that one might be surprised to learn that this was among the launch titles for the SNES, giving James another opportunity to praise the SNES as having probably the best launch line-up in video game history. -OMG, James's reaction to that jump where you immediately have to jump again to not get impaled by spikes. -The different cultures on display in this game gets them into a bit of a discussion about Doctor Who and how James & Mike are not that familiar with it unlike Ryan though James makes a good point that the first Bill & Ted movie got probably inspired by Doctor Who. -Well, to get an omelette you do have to break some eggs...or to get a connection between continents you have to break your whole village via earthquake. -She-Were...now that's an interesting go at a name for a female werewolf. -Memo: James & Mike give the most helpful game advice. -Neat that you have to fight all the previous bosses again in order to get to the final boss, kinda like Mega Man except you don't get any special weapons. -They played this over the course of three days with the last day using Ryan's version (due to the player character being now named Sir Oz instead of Sir James and having all the extra items). Have to say that on the last day the video footage of the game looked way clearer than on the other two days. -OMG, Ryan's story about getting a graphic card for his mother to play SimCity 2000. -To conclude, another very good video that is a bit more on the long side but makes up for it with having a good game to look at and pleasent discussion.

Well, I guess it's time for another homebrew/mod/hack with a comedy element. Because what else is it gonna be when James & Mike play BS The Legend Of Zelda for the SNES? -I am assuming they play it for the SNES because they mention the X-Y-B-A button configuration at one point (though they could play it on the Super Famicom as well). -Well, it is an homebrew but actually not of something modded but of something that really existed...although I don't know if I quite understood what this was about. BS stands for Broadcast Satellite and it is a version of The Legend Of Zelda that came out in the mid-1990s to be played on subscription via something called the Satellaview and it was only available to be played for one hour during a specific broadcast time or something. As I said, I didn't quite understand James & Mike's explanation of it but it sounded like a neat concept. -It is also sometimes referred to as the Third Quest because the map is arranged differently compared to the other two original The Legend Of Zelda quests. Yet you can only play two dungeons at most in each of the two maps because they only developed this version so far. It is kinda sad because the game looks great, similar to how Super Mario All-Stars did updated versions of the NES Mario games, this looks like an upgraded version of the original The Legend Of Zelda. Definitely wouldn't have minded if they put their resources into doing a legit Zelda remake like this one. -Dear lord, they are quoting old Nintendo Power-style jokes (with punchlines like "Aquamentus sent us!", "Leever alone!" etc.) Also love Mike doing a little pop quiz with James about Zelda enemy names. -Although I know by this time already that The Legend Of Zelda is Mike's favorite video game of all time (alongside DOOM maybe), it was still sweet to hear how he first got to play the game visiting an older friend. -Also getting a bit more insight into James's Zelda history (basically played all console games up to Ocarina Of Time, then stopped for a long while with Twilight Princess being the game that brought him back into the Zelda fold). Mike advises him to try out Wind Waker with James also mentioning wanting to try out Majora's Mask again. I wonder if that will lead to a video or anything... -All in all, another entertaining video with lots of moments featuring their love of Zelda and seeing a game not many people have seen probably.

It is time to find out who truly is the mightiest force in the universe when James & Mike play Alien Vs. Predator for the Arcade: -OK, this time I cannot quite figure out how they play it since they don't mention anything and I couldn't find any info about a Capcom arcade collection that contained this game. The wiki page mentions something about a version for the Capcom Home Arcade so I guess that is the version they play?
-I was a bit confused when they played this game at first but they soon mention that this is a game that came out in the mid-1990s, years before the actual Alien Vs. Predator movies came out. It is also a Final Fight-esque beat 'em up which is kinda interesting just for the image of beating up lots and lots of aliens at once but makes for a rather monotonous game.
-The episode already starts off weird with James doing a Jack Nicholson impression of Tully's speech from Ghostbusters...for some reason.
-If I had to sum up this episode, it would be "James & Mike give their opinion on which movies in long-running franchises they like best". Mike likes the first Alien the best because he is more into horror than action while James likes both Alien and Aliens but says to make that anything past those movies is not worth the time. Mike also likes the first and the third Back To The Future movies the best because the second one had too much repetition in it for him. Furthermore, he likes the second Terminator better than the first and anything past that as well as liking the first Rocky movie the best.
-They also start talking about a fast food (?) chain named Wah Wah or Vava or something similar (at least mentioning that it is a 3-4 state specific chain) and lamenting about how they got rid of all their favorite items over the years: Italian soup, chicken, Kona coffee, pizza etc.. Don't know the chain so don't know if it was that big a loss.
-We also get the story again about Sean Connery and how his film career ended via Lord Of The Rings and League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen (wasn't Harry Potter involved there, too?) and Mike actually mentions being a pretty big fan of Sean Connery and he would have loved to have seen him continue past the latter.
-To conclude, a good episode not so much for the game but for the animated discussion about movies they do.

It's clobberin' time! Because what other time is there when James & Mike play The Thing for the Sony Playstation 2? -Ah...so it is not about the Fantastic Four member but rather about the John Carpenter movie from the early 1980s. This makes James & Mike remark about what other comparably old movies should get games like, for example, having a Pee Wee's Big Adventure video game. -An interesting discussion on how you can get right back from modern retro-style 8-bit and 16-bit games into playing the original ones for the NES, Master System, SNES, Genesis etc. but when you go from a modern 3-D game (like The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild which they mention here as an example) to an older 3-D game like this one it feels a bit clunkier and not as easy to handle and you have to get back into the old mechanic of 3-D games. I would think that could depend on the game because I had no trouble going from GTA V back to GTA III and being fluent with the controls again. -We learn that the Nerd Room has five light switches...which they use to darken the room for this game's atmosphere (something they last did way, way, WAY back for the Taboo: The Sixth Sense episode). -Don't you just hate it when some cool stuff happens outside while you are in a room with the door closed? -Now wouldn't that be an awesome crossover? The Thing vs. Them vs. They vs. It? -Oh boy, NPC that you have to take by the hand in order for them to do something to progress through the game. Those are always a joy to work with...especially if you have to backtrack a long way back to get them or shoot random boxes away in order for them to do their magic. -But sometimes they come in handy like when you have no gun ammo so you can just let them kill enemies with flamethrowers and stuff. -Too bad they never got around to finishing Universal Theme Park Adventure in full. -A decent video with an interesting game and some fun commentary by James & Mike.
