WWE promising change and new exciting shit just for it to end in nonsensical heel heat beatdown number 7834. I really hope this show didn't pop a rating in the slightest When’s the last time Raw or Smackdown ended with a face standing tall anyway?

So I finally figured it out. Those Underground segments felt like what would happen if early TNA produced Lucha Underground.

*cries, clutching my copy of their TYR album* a friend of mine actually just had me listen to that today! I don't actually have that album, I have a Best of Black Sabbath CD that only features songs with Tony Martin on vocals. I felt saying all that would make the joke less impactful, so I went with TYR.

You know what's weird? I saw Raw last week. If you told me I'd missed 4 months I'd believe you

Those poor girls. Dancing all the way to next week. The most f***ed up thing about it? Shane ran off without paying them. Probably planned all along. He was sweating more than usual while figuring out the escape.

I was on board with the batshittery, at least it kept you wondering what comes next, but... that ending was a wet fart. Also the recaps, and the commercials. Those sucked.
But... still kudos for trying... whatever that was? I guess?
Except "hey, here's a bunch of hooded goons trying to take out the power to the Performance Center, which we're never going to mention again despite that being, you know, arson, and clearly quite serious".
I... I think I have some questions.

What a horrendous Raw. I love the chaotic nature of Raw at the beginning. Apollo Crews VS MVP was a fun match & I don’t mind seeing them again at SummerSlam. The Sasha Banks-Bayley promo was OK and I love Shayna Baszler attacking Banks, proving again that there are no more faces & heels. Kevin Owens’ segment in the back with The IIconics was funny. The KO Show with Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan was really good and really helped establish them. The match with them VS The Iiconics as OK. The backstage segment was weird with the case falling earlier. Drew McIntyre’s promo was awesome, as was the response by Randy Orton. Kevin Owens’ segment in the back with Ric Flair was interesting. The segment with Nia Jax was horrible and was only good because it gave me time to organize my records for the other matches. The Triple Threat Match for the 24/7 Title was fun. I like Dominik Mysterio’s promo challenging Seth Rollins for a match at SummerSlam. Shayna Baszler VS Sasha Banks was getting good until the stupid finish, but was a waste, as a match like that should be saved for PPV. I have no idea what the hell Raw Underground was. I rather watch Bowling Contests than whatever that was. For the record, it will not be counted in my records. Stupid promo with The Street Profits. By the way, thanks to Twitter, we know that Dawkins is involved with someone since he just had a baby & Angel Garza just got married. Angelo Dawkins VS Angel Garza was a decent match. Montez Ford VS Andrade was really good until the weird finish. I didn’t like that they took away the seriousness of Ford’s injury to show Murphy & Rollins’ promo, which was OK. This is stupid, Montez Ford was poisoned. At least when Shawn Michaels collapsed after getting kicked in the head by Owen Hart in 1995, it seemed more real. I actually failed a test in school the next day because I was worried about him. The people throwing fire in the back looked more like protesters than a wrestling faction, which isn’t needed in today’s world. OK segment with The Hurt Business, but it seems like they were on Raw a little too much. I loved the segment with Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe stepping up for Tom Phillips. I would love to see Joe VS Rollins, but Dominik’s attack was good. The Raw Underground stuff to close the show with The Hurt Business was horrendous and the camera cuts made me nauseous. Also, we never got the debut of the new faction that they hyped.
Here are the Facts & Stats for RAW:
- Apollo Crews VS MVP was the 10th United States Championship Match of 2020 & 1st since Backlash on June 14, & 1st on Raw since Crews VS Owens on June 1, Crews’ 1st Raw since June 29 & 1st opener since May 25, MVP’s 1st Raw match since July 22, & his 1st opener of 2020, a re-match of Raw on June 29, Crews’ 3rd Title Defense, giving him the least number of Title Defenses since Rey Mysterio, who lost the title to Andrade at a live event at Madison Square Garden on December 26, 2019, as of Raw, his reign has lasted 70 Days, tying him with Baron Corbin (10/8/17 – 12/17/17) - Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott VS The IIconics was Riott & Peyton Royce’s 1st Raw since July 20, Billie Kay’s 1st Raw since July 13, Morgan’s 1st Raw since June 22, the 1st time ever that Morgan & Riott teamed up in a 2-on-2 Match, was their 1st win together since they & Sarah Logan defeated Natalya & The Bella Twins on Raw on September 24, 2018, was Morgan’s 1st win on Raw since she defeated Riott on April 27, & was the 200th Match on Raw in 2020 - R-Truth VS Shelton Benjamin VS Akira Tozawa was the 7th Official 24/7 Championship Match of 2020 & the 1st since Raw on June 29, the 24th Triple Threat Match of 2020, the 1st since NXT on July 29, & the 2nd week in a row on Raw, Benjamin’s 1st Raw since July 22, Truth’s 1st Raw since July 13, Tozawa’s 1st Raw since June 29, the 18th 24/7 Title Change of 2020, the 1st since Raw on July 20, the 101st Overall, & was Tozawa’s 3rd 24/7 Title Reign of his career, & Benjamin’s Reign lasted 15 Days, which was the 7th Longest of All-Time - Shayna Baszler VS Sasha Banks was the 1st time since May 11 & 18 that Baszler wrestled 2 weeks in a row on Raw, the 1st time since July 6 & 13 that Banks wrestled 2 weeks in a row on Raw, & was the 10th week in a row that Raw had 2 Women’s Matches, & was the 16th No Contest of 2020, & the 2nd week in a row on Raw - Angelo Dawkins VS Angel Garza was the 1st time since May 11, 18, 25, June 1, 8, & 15 that Garza wrestled 6 weeks in a row on Raw & was his 1st 1-on-1 Match on Raw since he lost to Kevin Owens on June 15, & was Dawkins’ 1st Raw since July 20 & his 1st Singles Match on Raw since he defeated Murphy by Disqualification on February 24 - Montez Ford VS Andrade was the 1st time since May 4, 18, 25, June 1, & 8 that Andrade wrestled 6 weeks in a row on Raw, was his 1st 1-on-1 Match on Raw since he lost to Apollo Crews on May 25, & his 1st Raw main event since April 13, & was Ford’s 1st Raw since July 20, his 1st Singles Match on Raw since he lost to Seth Rollins on February 24, & was his 1st Raw main event since May 25, & was the 4th Referee Stoppage of 2020 & the 1st since Raw on April 27 - Since he didn’t compete on Raw, it will not be the 2nd time this year that Ricochet wrestled 6 weeks in a row on Raw & the 1st time since October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, & November 5, 2018 that Bobby Lashley wrestled 6 weeks in a row on Raw - This was the 1st Raw since March 16 to not have a Tag Team Match

I think this weeks thread is 3 times longer than last weeks pitiful thread.
Does that speak to more people watching?Or does it just speak to crazy shit per square inch?

You know what would have been a better ending?
ANYTHING!
Why not connect the two things. Instead of The Hurt Business have some badass dude in a mask wreck fools and chase of the crowd. It looks like he’s about to take off his mask for the feed to cut out. The last shot of Raw is the chaos group destroying the production trunk until the feed cuts out completely.

I'll advise you that he doesn't really find his own groove with Sabbath until Headless Cross because The Eternal Idol was supposed to be Ray Gillen's album, and Tony was brought in last minute to re-record all the vocals. He also came out with a solo album in 2005 that's worth a listen.

I try not to focus too much on the name of the band and just dig the tunes for what they are.

Now I do think doing The Underground is an interesting concept right now and could be a way to gain exposure for someone you want to push i just think that was horribly done

No love for Born Again? "Zero The Hero" may be the best non-Ozzy or non-Dio track Sabbath ever had.
