This weeks episode had the perfect formula for a standard format. Two mens matches and a ladies match. Not that I mind shows with multiple womens matches, I just like the idea of women's wrestling every week in some capacity. But it is all good wrestling overall.

It’s always a good episode when Dalton Castle is on. I’d love him to get another run higher up on the card. Willow is one of my favorite women talents at the moment, I didn’t think she would pull off the upset but I’m really glad she did.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOBasS7KPrs&t=964sCrazy to see GCW Footage in ROH Week by Week. Awesome set of shows coming on ROH TV. This weekend "VLNCE vs. Pure" Jay Lethal vs. Homicide King & Dickenson vs. Williams & Grisham Deppen vs. Rhett Weekend of 30/31: "Special Halloween Episode" Trios Championship: Shane Taylor Promotions (c) vs. Danhausen, PCO, and STEVE Wild Card Trick or Treat Tag Team Four Corners Survival: All the teams drawn at random from a Jack o' Lantern! Rok-C & Quinn Mckay vs. Alize & Max the Impaler In November: "Championship Edition" ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) vs. Alex Zayne Pure Title: Josh Woods (c) vs. LSG This doesn't include the other woman's triple threat: Allysin Kay vs. Mandy Leon vs. Trish Adora Where the winner will face Willow for who fights Rok-C at Final Battle. I'm thinking these two matches will probably happen on Women's Division Wednesday.

Why did Willow Nightingale lose her last name in ROH?
Now I can't help but think of Jeff Hardy's goofy umbrella man gimmick.

That was a great Pure Rules 8 man Tag match. Taylor Rust was amazing and stole the show.
I've followed Ryan Taylor/Rust /Taylor Rust since he started in NWA Hollywood/CWFH 10-11 years ago and I'm so happy he's getting a chance to shine for the world to see (I know he was in NXT but we saw how that ended). Man has always been m amazing but he's seemed to step it up even more recently. He's in fabulous shape. Slimmer but as Riccaboni said "there's not an ounce of fat on him". Can't wait to see him use the Perfect Circle on someone and have gold around his waist.

some news and notes from this week's "Eck's Files": NWA woman’s tag titles! Between this and briscoes vs. SGC it’s nice to see ROH finally opening the forbidden door. Castle vs. Lee finally!! Really hope Castle wins here he’s been great since his heel turn. I’m tired of LFI and the Foundation, Im ready for LFI to drop their titles to other parts of the roster could use the titles more. As much as I enjoy VLNCE Unlimited it feels the endless 97 Gang Warz at this point.

ROH definitely is leaning more and more into The Forbidden Door. It's gonna make things so much more intriguing if they do.

One of my local Sinclair channels was replaced recently. The only one left shows ROH coming on at 11:30 PM Eastern, which has been preempted by sports games this month, and even without that, it's still too late for me to watch than the 10:30 PM time I was used to. I am able to watch on Fite two days later, but sometimes I do forget due to how much other wrestling I keep up with.

I don't mean to sound morbid but there is no ROH without Sinclair. Cary Silkin lost millions at a fraction of the expenses without TV (HD NET did not help and probably net cost them money). Asking for ROH without Sinclair likely would kill us as we are currently a sustainable business model and unless you sink in 10s to 100s of millions upfront on the hunch you might get a cable deal, it wouldn't work. Sinclair takes care of us and keeps the lights on. We have a budget and we're run as a business unit.

When you look at the TV market, its very slim pickings as what is available to reach the house holds as it is. So you have to wow Sinclair with and offer and have a TV deal setup but the bigger question what is that network that is going to reach the house holds.

Did the Elite approach Sinclair and try to negotiate on ROH's behalf after "All In's" success? I feel like a lot of factors have hurt ROH's status post-G1 Supercard, but I found it really strange that ROH never capitalized on either the good, or the bad hype from that show. I guess my big question is, does Sincalir see ROH as a promotion that could sell out shows like G1 Supercard again, or was that the peak of their investment? I understand you won't/can't have all the answers to these questions. I appreciate any interest you're able/willing to offer. As a company insider seeing a large chunk of your talent go on to have success with their own promotion, that heavily borrows from the groundwork ROH laid over the last 2 decades, makes a lot of fans wonder; why hasn't ROH expanded?

We have more viewers and HonorClub subscribers than many think. It is a profitable Wrestling company that reaches NXT levels each week. The conversion of that to live events and merch is what is critical and that's why the demographics are so important. We were quite big for a while and drew respectably, although lower than 2018, in 2019. It is cost/benefit. You make the play for the talent you believe can be difference makers. To make the leap to what AEW is doing, it is very expensive and is a risk. Doing anything in the middle and you will lose money. We ran some big arenas in Fairfax, VA and the Orleans in Las Vegas with some big names and they did well but not "let's spend 10s or even 100s of millions to aggressively make this as big as possible." I'm not sure Tony Khan gets *enough* credit for the infrastructure-style monetary risk he took. The Bucks have made no secret that they talked to ROH before leaving and got a sizable offer. I know all were approached and things were cordial. I was in the group whose contract was up around the same time but I had the awkwardness of coming up 5 days ahead of MSG. You make real good money in ROH for a decent schedule when we're running full speed (usually 50 live events and 4 PPVs a year). All of that cost significant money but it all needs to be scaled. That said, there have been significant monetary investments over the years include several graphic suite updates, more editors/producers, the CaryTrons, and more so it's spent in places that add to our television product.

Thank you for the response. I understand that producing a wrestling program that is on television and PPV is very expensive. A company that has been in operation for 2 decades, and has seen a lot of peaks abd valleys over that time, should invest in providing their viewers with a polished product, especially with as much competition that now exists. It is nice to know you are still able to get as many viewers as you claim. I am happy Sinclair is willing to invest in ROH. A strong wrestling product with the lineage of ROH with enhanced production deserves more exposure, and the product should be as accessible to your fans as possible. What concerns me, to the point of your weekly television being removed and difficult to find in many markets, leads me to question what good is polishing your programming when no one can find it? To your point of the Honor Club, does ROH rely more on its online presence than it's television for marketing?
