We have more viewers and HonorClub subscribers than many think. It is a profitable Wrestling company that reaches NXT levels each week. The conversion of that to live events and merch is what is critical and that's why the demographics are so important. We were quite big for a while and drew respectably, although lower than 2018, in 2019. It is cost/benefit. You make the play for the talent you believe can be difference makers. To make the leap to what AEW is doing, it is very expensive and is a risk. Doing anything in the middle and you will lose money. We ran some big arenas in Fairfax, VA and the Orleans in Las Vegas with some big names and they did well but not "let's spend 10s or even 100s of millions to aggressively make this as big as possible." I'm not sure Tony Khan gets *enough* credit for the infrastructure-style monetary risk he took. The Bucks have made no secret that they talked to ROH before leaving and got a sizable offer. I know all were approached and things were cordial. I was in the group whose contract was up around the same time but I had the awkwardness of coming up 5 days ahead of MSG. You make real good money in ROH for a decent schedule when we're running full speed (usually 50 live events and 4 PPVs a year). All of that cost significant money but it all needs to be scaled. That said, there have been significant monetary investments over the years include several graphic suite updates, more editors/producers, the CaryTrons, and more so it's spent in places that add to our television product. Thank you for the response. I understand that producing a wrestling program that is on television and PPV is very expensive. A company that has been in operation for 2 decades, and has seen a lot of peaks abd valleys over that time, should invest in providing their viewers with a polished product, especially with as much competition that now exists. It is nice to know you are still able to get as many viewers as you claim. I am happy Sinclair is willing to invest in ROH. A strong wrestling product with the lineage of ROH with enhanced production deserves more exposure, and the product should be as accessible to your fans as possible. What concerns me, to the point of your weekly television being removed and difficult to find in many markets, leads me to question what good is polishing your programming when no one can find it? To your point of the Honor Club, does ROH rely more on its online presence than it's television for marketing? I forgot to mention that Dish Network replaced the Sinclair channel I mentioned earlier, so there might be a conflict between them.

I'm wondering how much Sinclair is investing into ROH's online presence, as it seems more accessible than their television?

I get the concern people have and I don’t want to be speaking for Ian because I appreciate the fact he’s been open with us about Ring of Honor and events surrounding the company but I also feel it should be said that he either a) only knows so much from his position and b) if he did know more, it might not be the best idea to make that stuff public.
I’m basically saying we should be careful what we ask considering we don’t want us or Ian responsible for anything that might jeopardize his position as well as potentially get in trouble with anyone.

I’m basically saying we should be careful what we ask considering we don’t want us or Ian responsible for anything that might jeopardize his position as well as potentially get in trouble with anyone. Certainly appreciate it! I wish I knew more about why certain markets were bumped or changed. I am about to let folks know about the Bally's situation. I am assuming because the major winter sports started this/last week, things get a little wacky with scheduling. The Bally's relationship helps us reach even more than we did before through the RSNs. For the record, both of your assumptions are correct. I only know so much and the hair more I do know, I can't really discuss. I do want to make it be known that I'm contracted solely as a commentator. I have no booking, logistics, television, etc. responsibilities. I do know that when our COO Joe Koff says that we are doing 500K/week on good weeks, that is not an exaggeration and he cannot exaggerate because he is an officer of a publicly traded company. If you were on as many stations as we are plus Bally's, plus Stadium, plus the occasional Charge airing, things add up quick. That does not account for our Monday website uploads, Monday watch-alongs, our Plex 24/7 channel, our Stirr presence (...which uploads episodes a bit earlier than anywhere else if you know where/how to look, shh ). Folks are watching and we have really good advertising partners. Again, the TV is in good shape - I hope this week was a hiccup because of all of the winter sports and sports coverage. We were thrilled with Baltimore in July and then Philly in August. Philly in September had the unfortunate late switch to Philly from Florida because of the spiking COVID cases. I caused an editing nightmare because during our tapings, I said "Lakeland! September 12!" in almost every match that had a build. If we can continue to build onto those live crowds we've had with a strong Final Battle 2021, we will be built for a really successful 2022.

I apologize for reaching, and again thank you for being frank, Ian.
As a longtime fan of ROH, I have been interested in it's growth.

Those production upgrades have really showed! When I started getting back into non-mainbrand WWE wrestling around January 2020. The tv show was a weird hybrid clip show recap from stuff that happened two months before, while being an infomercial for upcoming shows and honor club. As a lapsed casual ROH fan, it was hard to jump back into the product, but I did understand that ROH is/was a live touring company first.
However since the relaunch of tv with the pure tournament, it’s been probably the most consistent hour of wrestling each week, I’ve enjoyed it so much I subscribed to Honor Club, and ROH has done a great job flowing storylines between the tv shows and the few live shows and ppvs this year. Im really excited when they finally get back to a normal touring schedule next year, I just hope they are able to keep tv this consistent.
Also ROH has Danhausen and Dalton Castle so as long as their employed they will always be one of my favorite companies.,

Regarding ROH availability I watch it on a non Sinclair owned station so apparently it's being syndicated to non Sinclair owned stationss and combines with the Bally Sports networks it's potential market is at it's largest ever.

Yeah! There are a few that I'm aware of and I'm selfishly suggesting a few near Allentown (probably to an annoying degree!) so my friends can watch over the air.

Last time I checked ROH aired on two stations in MS. I just end up watching it on FITE each week. Usually on Tuesday morning while I'm cooking/eating breakfast.

Sounds weird… watching ROH while eating breakfast sounds absolutely amazing. Usually by the time I get up between cooking/eating and then washing the dishes from breakfast that is a good hour. So I try to remember and Tuesday morning to watch the new ROH. Decent way to start off the day.Use to do it also on Thursday Morning and watch Limitless the Road off IWTV during breakfast.
