If they were going to put him on the main roster, he needed to be on SD. And now he's trapped in the ninth circle of WWE hell. Or at the very least, RAW has a clear pecking order and he should be fighting his way through it Sheamus, AJ, Lashley Those should be his next 3 feuds on his way up the card but because they stupidly put him into the Drew/Orton mix, his descent down is now backwards and he will be stuck doing rerun matches with Braun and then find his way into a feud with Sheamus that will last 3 months He still has the punchers chance of winning the rumble but with no feuds, they are doing him a disservice

As I said I'll be happy if Lee actually turns it around, but until then I'm not gonna be fed this rhetoric that Lee's ok because he beat Orton once and they followed up with him being Punted in the skull and basically pushed down the card I will believe it when I see it with WWE at this point, they give me zero confidence in building new stars, even sure things at this current time. So don't use hyperbole because that's just as bad as feeding the rhetoric (which i'm not) Y'all flip your minds on a week to week basis on what is good and bad so next week Lee can get a win over Drew and everything would be fine You don't have to wait and see but when you live in the moment every single week your changes in what you like and don't like is going to be wildly inconsistent to say the least To be fair, I haven't liked Lee's presentation since he got called up, and I have been consistent with that. Even beating Orton I was like "It matters how they follow up" and they followed up terribly. Like maybe some people rapidly flip their opinions but I like to think I keep pretty constant until I'm given a reason to flip to a new perspective.

Keith on NXT: Calm and collected, but if you push him too hard he won't hold back as he drops the calm demeanor
Keith on Raw: ♩ Keith Lee is here and he's really mad ♫

He had a calmness and swagger that no one else in wrestling has right now. And they took it from him because god forbid we have someone nuanced and interesting.

The whole point of Keith Lee was that he was this smooth man a big softie but that stood up for whats right,he was different and unique.
But Vince still has that mold for big guys that every one has to fit

How long until he's thrown into New Day as new Big E, aka 'Big Lee?' You know they've considered it.

I've said it for years: Keith Lee could and should be the biggest star in the business.
Leave it up to WWE to completely ruin that.

This is part of why the NXT as revolution brand gets over with some of the fanbase even to this day, because Vince himself seems to think it's trying to undercut him and strips so many callups of the things that made them work.

He lost through Strowman doing a heel tactic and afterwards he did the same to him, talked down to him and made Strowman look like a lesser monster. I'm 100% fine with this. Prior to this Lee wasn't on Strowman's level portrayal-wise and now it feels like he's above him. Same, Braun needed a win badly. I have no issue with Braun winning just the way he won was a little weak but that’s WWE these days when a massive dude booting you in the face is seen as a weak finish.

Yeah seriously and it helps both guys out. Braun's probably about to go heel and him doing this really evolves his character. He'll go from just "a monster" to a "monster that does heel tactics" and I honestly can't recall him ever being that way. Keith Lee on the other hand, I mean yeah you lose but if you force a monster to do heel tactics and then punk him out after the match? Embarrassing him? That makes you look great. It was pretty smart for both guys.

Keith treading water is what is gonna hurt him the most in the long run and this is WWE's fault for positioning him where there is next to upward movement for him untill they are ready to make him WWE champion if at all because the 300yr old billionare forgot what he had for breakfast that morning.

Speaking of that finish, does anyone know why it wasn't a DQ?

The issue there is, the alternative, based on what WWE usually do, is him starting at the bottom and going 15 minutes back-and-forth with mid-level guys that have no rub to give at this point. Take someone like The Miz or John Morrison for example. You know neither of them have won a TV match in nearly SIX MONTHS? And yet what would happen when this brute force of nature Keith Lee couldn’t put them away in less than five or ten minutes? This is where you need outside enhancement guys. Yes, it may make the weekly shows predictable as f*** (as though they aren’t already?), but when you show a guy wrecking some tomato can fairly quick, then it MEANS something when two of them collide and have a competitive match.
