Well if anything a strong competitor will come out of this. Which is a good thing. It's not worth f***ing up the lives of the people who built the platform during a pandemic. But it will benefit them more in the long run. The more platforms the better. The quicker the monopoly is ended, the better it is for all involved. |

Honestly its hard for me to be sympathetic. I guess its because the thought of paying to see someone naked is laughable when I can easily do that for free. Because people want to see THAT naked person. A lot of these people also have communities and "fans" that they built. They're just like any other entertainer. |

The quicker the monopoly is ended, the better it is for all involved. The long run really isn't important mid-pandemic when all their other avenues are inaccessible due to COVID-19. The short-term needless distress and hardship is not worth it. |

Sex workers deserve a lot more respect than they're getting, and when one of the few avenues they have to make a living has the possibility of being gentrified and forcing them out - like so many other sites like Tumblr and Patreon have done before - that people are calling them scammers and laughing about how they can see free porn (read: usually stolen with no profits going to the performers) online is kind of callous.

So like. People subscribed to her thing, which costs a fee. Then past that paywall, there was another paywall that said, "Nudes Inside". Then people paid past that paywall and there were no nudes?
Like... isn't that fraud?

As a result content creators who rely on OF income to pay bills,rent etc. will now have to wait until the end of the month to get a payout. |

I have no sympathy for the people pissed at her. She hustled, just like the rest of them. There's hustling and then there's scamming. What she did was scamming. She charged subscribers $200 for something and didn't deliver on it. Now because she did that, she's screwed over not just a few other models, but literally everyone who uses that site to make money. Now she's trying to play the sympathy card on Twitter and it's not working. She wanted to raise awareness for these other girls and help their reputations and ended up screwing them all over. |

Not really sure why the people paying are being blamed; they paid money for something, didn't get it, and they're rightfully upset about it. It doesn't matter if it's a nude picture or a PSP; you pay for something, you should get the something.

To all you guys saying "just watch free porn".
1.) All porn starts out as paid porn. It becomes "free" when someone leaks it.
2.) Even free porn is hosted on a site that makes money. You go to a site with free porn, it will pretty much always have a giant ton of ads all over the place.
So excuse me if I want money to go directly to the person who made the content, rather than a shady site.
