Bet this leads to WWE making their own version of Cameo or them doing some sort of partnership. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them get into streaming too.

Seeing how ALOT of their talent streams on twitch....that is likely to piss off a whole lot of people and probably be a pretty big deal breaker.
But this is Vince....He wont do shit to AJ Styles if AJ wants to keep streaming on twitch but someone like a Dakota Kai is likely to get puished 9 ways outta sunday.
Oh and owning peoples real names lol good luck trying to hold that shit up in court their Vince.

I assume appearing on streams with AEW talent probably pissed Vince off like the little insecure man-baby he is. Claiming they own their real names is a bold move. I knew something was going to come up after Woods and Dakota both appeared on the Fighting Back marathon with Uno, Colt and Brodie. Vince is way to protective of his brand to allow cross-fraternization, even on neutral ground and off-hours, in the name of charity.

WWE is a reasonable, fair company run by reasonable, fair people who do reasonable, fair things within the boundaries of reasonable, fair laws.

This couldn't have been worse timing, because Creed is currently lobbying for a host gig with the newly revived G4 Channel, and there's a good chance he's gonna get a show there I would imagine
Again, he's a guy who really does not need WWE, and frankly, doesn't even need to wrestle again, so this is a really stupid decision on WWE's part to threaten his livlihood

Reason 184620 I'm so happy there are more options out there for wrestling fans. NJPW, Impact, AEW make my life so much easier right now. I haven't given Vince a penny of my time in almost two years and I'm not sorry one bit. Not sure what he hopes to accomplish here. The more you piss your talent off, the more reason they have to cross over to the competition. What a load of crap.

There's no way this is gonna go over well. Xavier Woods has built an entire platform online with gaming both on Youtube and streaming with several WWE superstars. Duke, Baszlor and Yim stream all the time and love it. WWE's playing with some dangerous fire here and they don't even know it. They're basically taking away peoples ability to have fun and make side hobbies, and that's NOT the way to help people want to yknow, stay with you? If Youtube is avoided in this whole statement, then it might lessen the blow, but even still, this isn't gonna end to well with certain wrestlers. Don't forget Dakota Kai, Adam Cole, Paige, Aleister Black & Zelina Vega also use Twitch to stream as well. Tegan Nox was about to start Twitch streaming as well. And then you have Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce with their own Youtube channels. Like what the hell!? He's basically alienating his entire roster with this move.

In addition to it being a dick move with questionable legal standing, it’s also just f***ing stupid from a company point of view. “We need to build new stars that connect with the audience. You are using technology platforms to connect with the audience in your spare time. Knock that off!”

You'd a think a guy would want to do anything he can to keep his roster happy with the advent and rise of viable competition currently sprouting up everywhere in the wrestling landscape, but to Vince happyness just seems to equal more money, and he never seems to understand why the wrestlers truly get miserable while working under him And this is just yet another example.

One would think WWE would like seeing their talent on popular platforms spreading brand awareness via that. Creed's work with UpUpDownDown has introduced more non fans to wrestling than any of WWE's PR efforts in the last 15 years have.

Didn't Big E make bunch of money out of Cameo? He's done over 500 at over 100 bones a pop.

How anyone old enough to know better can continue to support this company as a fan (despite the roster being great) baffles me

You are using technology platforms to connect with the audience in your spare time. Knock that off!” WWE will launch their OWN YouTube site! And Roman, Braun, Bray, Bayley and Sasha and Corbin will have featured channels. Then one day, someone like Humberto will try to start a channel and get banned from WWETube.

Also, just a reminder, Streaming is how Mia Yim found out about the big COVID outbreak at the WWE PC and she began texting her friends to let them know. Not her own company, f***ing TWITCH. This won't end well.

Honestly in this position I'd look over my contract and if it didn't have any clause relating to this, I'd just keep doing it anyway and pretty much dare them to take action over it. Even if you did get fired at worst you'd have a ton of sympathy and pretty much the freedom to work anywhere you wanted and at best you'd be looking at a healthy settlement over how blatantly unenforceable this is.

Remember guys, wrestlers are independent contractors and are completely free to work outside of their WWE schedule, just not to make any money doing so.
