But, WWE has always thought they were bigger than what they truly are. It's that inferiority complex of theirs is why they just can't admit they're "pro wrestling", but "sports entertainment". To them, "pro wrestling" is sub-human; enjoyment for the dregs of society. Yet, "sports entertainment" is themselves consistently deluding themselves that what they produce has some quality to it, where they can win awards, sponsorships... prestige. It's like if you open up a fast food chain where you sell hamburgers, but you don't want to admit that you sell hamburgers, so you call them... "flattened steak sandwiches" or something similar to that. WWE is like this. Which is hilarious because wasn't "Sports Entertainment" just some jargon made up so they don't have to pay the Athletic Commissions? Of course it was. He made it up so he didn't want to pay them taxes that legitimate sports have to pay in order to operate in some states. |

Looks like Lana's mad at what Meltzer said. Its not like she would know if she was either  But I sure some people went after her for it,which is stupid even if it was confirmed(it isnt). I know Lana has dealt with dyslexia (which likely explains "escape goat"), but on the other hand, I feel like she shouldn't be defending this company narrative. That's a loss of revenue on her end. |

Honestly if the story is Vince doesnt want talent using their in-ring names
STOP MAKING THEY LIVE UNDER THEIR IN-RING NAME.Treat them as actors , go to interviews under their real names.
Treat them like f***ing actors all the time,not just when it is an inconvenience to your pocket

WWE needs to stop pretending it’s some big entertainment entity like WB or Disney. Whenever they try that shit they expose how much they’re still old carny garbage like every wrestling company. Stop trying to be something you’re not or actually do the work and pay the price. It’s not just in scummy stuff. Just on production. Like when they tried to do their version of ESPN’s Last Dance with their shitty Undertaker documentary. Whenever they try to act like they’re big time, it’s obvious they’re not even close when it comes to mainstream stuff Vince just can't handle the fact that a mouse is ruling the Entertainment World basically |

Between Shao Kahn, Escape Goats, and WWE literally saying "Control and Exploitation" as a means to DEFEND their actions, this thread has gone off the rails in the best way since I last checked it
Also Vince deserves everything that is coming to him over this, he finally poked the bear just a little too hard.
