WWE needs to stop pretending it’s some big entertainment entity like WB or Disney. Whenever they try that shit they expose how much they’re still old carny garbage like every wrestling company. Stop trying to be something you’re not or actually do the work and pay the price. It’s not just in scummy stuff. Just on production. Like when they tried to do their version of ESPN’s Last Dance with their shitty Undertaker documentary. Whenever they try to act like they’re big time, it’s obvious they’re not even close when it comes to mainstream stuff Vince just can't handle the fact that a mouse is ruling the Entertainment World basically I don't think he's so much jealous of Disney as he's trying to break out of the wrestling bubble but has no real idea how to do it and he and his circle have convinced themselves that they've already gotten out of the bubble. "Oh we make movies, right? We're basically a big time entertainment studio now." it's delusional from Vince on down. Listen to Prichard talk about WWE business like their non-wrestling productions are on par with top shows. Remember when WWE made that Legends House show and it's one of the worst produced reality shows you've ever seen in your life. Imagine limbo'ing under that bar. |

After reading this thread I'm happy I finally gave up on the E after the Saudi Arabia deal. The more I learn about Vince the more he disgusts me on a personal professional and ethical level.

This f***ing company. I hope we see a bunch of Chris Benoit photos on the Thunderdome now, because they deserve it! I'd a lot rather it be something like signs saying to unionize. Either way, they deserved to have Thunderdome get trolled the shit into oblivion. |

So what I'm getting out of all of this is that Vince is just throwing a tantrum.
He's not Disney. Sure, Disney isn't the company they make themselves out to be publicly, either, but Disney consistently delivers hit after hit after hit and smashing box office records. They're such a monolith that if one of their divisions went out tomorrow, they'd still be a multi-billion dollar company. Disney also knows how to read the public mood and play the PR game, which the WWE is an absolute joke at. Vince wants to be a media mogul, but despite all of his successes he will never be a Disney, a Warner, or an NBC/Universal.
This isn't going to put the WWE out of business. They've got way too big of a warchest with too many revenue streams.
I do think this is just another self-inflicted wound as the WWE attempts to kill itself via "Death of 1000 cuts", though. Their fans are skewing older, and Vince seems to hold absolute contempt for the culture of the generation he needs to be catering to.

I genuinely do t know why Paige switched her twitch name over to Saraya, I'm not sure WWE could even enforce copyright on her stage name given how generic that name is.
I'd say it's like just giving an American girl the name Ashley but then I remember they actually did that.
