Todd McShay is also having us taking Justin Fields. If we trade up for this (as McShay has us doing) and take an Ohio State QB (because when have those EVER worked out in the pros), I'm going to be extremely furious Mike Tomszak (sp). Which proves your point. I like Fields, but I like a lot of college guys who never pan out. He had a couple of absolute stinkers this year that should be worrisome

It really feels like we're gonna have another geno Smith situation on draft night where we keep showing Feilds as he keeps falling down the board.

I would never take an Ohio State QB unless it was a unanimous sure thing like an Elway, Manning, Mahomes, etc.

Good for Dax getting his money, hopefully it all works out in Dallas not a cowboys fan but unless you're from the AFC East *not the jets* or the eagles I want to watch you fail. Every other team I'd like for them to do well especially those teams that only know heartbreak

Trent Brown traded back to the Pats, Raiders get a 22nd 5th round pick and the Pats get brown and a 7th.
The Pats also arent going to tag Thueny, making him officially a FA

(If I say the Niners are taking / getting a new QB enough it will will itself into existence) He'd be a great add for the Niners. He's a legit top 10 prospect and will be a good QB. And also, he's not Jimmy G. You can't discount a guy based on others' track records. Jeff Tedford coached almost exclusively big bust QBs until one of them made it, and that just happened to be Aaron Rodgers. Judge players based on play, not trends.

www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31044604/kansas-city-chiefs-release-former-no-1-overall-draft-pick-eric-fisherThe Chiefs are gutting the position group most in need of depth because of salary cap issues. Who ever could have foreseen such a thing? Trent Brown traded back to the Pats, Raiders get a 22nd 5th round pick and the Pats get brown and a 7th. The Pats also arent going to tag Thueny, making him officially a FA The writing is on the wall that Joe Thuney is leaving the Patriots, and it was made indelible the moment the Patriots acquired Trent Brown. The Patriots have Thuney's replacement in-house in rookie guard Michael Onwenu (who PFF graded as one of the best rookies in the entire NFL in 2020) and they basically have their starting offensive line already with Isaiah Wynn and Brown at the tackle positions, Onwenu and Shaq Mason at the guards, and the presumably soon-to-be-re-signed David Andrews at center. They also have Marcus Cannon returning as a swing tackle, although they could cut him and save $7 million, and rookie Justin Herron who played admirably in mop-up duty last season. The Patriots might not have a great option at quarterback in 2021, but whoever is calling the signals, he's sure to be protected as well as anyone in the league.

Because after what happened in the Super Bowl, gutting that line is the way to go!
Man, ChiefsMania is ending seasons before I thought it would.

Quarterbacks when they sign colossal, record-shattering contracts that leave their teams with no cap space to sign offensive linemen.

Quarterbacks when they sign colossal, record-shattering contracts that leave their teams with no cap space to sign offensive linemen. Look to the rams, and 9ers the contracts they gave to Jared and Jimmy G were done in a way that gave them an out if they weren't panning out. The way the QB market is atm I really think thats the way of the future front load and put most if not all the guaranteed money at the signing and first 2 years so these 5+ year deals don't handicap a team if the QB isn't working.
