Sky out to save Sydal. Looks like we are indeed heading towards a match between them.

That was a much more fun show than a 12:30 am wrestling show had any right to be.

Yep there it is. Sky and Spears gonna be a feud All for it, someone needed to stop Spears and his glove stuff Yup! I like that feud a lot. Tully with Sears, Scorpio has a small friendship with the Nightmare Family. Finally the Spears glove has a purpose, and Sky, who needs a feud, gets one.

Solid outing. Matt went for it..and Spears, for all the jokes, is just as reliable as a Kazarian. He's just needed a feud imo, now he'll get one

Well that was f***ing fun.
Ben Everyone Knows Bout Me Now Carter and Anna Jay looked great. Solid ass ME.
If AEW wants their 2nd show to be an “action” highlight, they can probably pull it off.

I know I say AEW is a special product but they brought A Game stuff to a 12:30AM broadcast. True they didn't know when they'd air for sure, but they put on a great show with great matches, and it didn't matter to them
I hope this show does decently well, it earned it. Also my god sign Ben Carter.

I love Jericho on commentary so much. I love how, even though he's a heel, he called out the loaded glove.

Man that was a fun little show. Kept me up later than I probably should have stayed up, but I’m glad I stayed up and watched. I’ll echo what everyone else has said and say that I really hope that AEW signed Ben Carter like yesterday.

I'm so glad I had a third day off this week or there's no way I could have stayed up to watch this. Very fun hour of wrestling, all three matches were very good. Ben Carter is a made man after tonight, Anna Jay continues to look unstoppable since joining the Dark Order, and Spears/Sydal set up a future program for Spears and Sky. Plus we got some promotion for tomorrow night's big matches. All in all, a solid show.

This is good but it feels like a match that's happened on Raw 800 times even though these guys weren't in the company at the same time and I don't think Spears was ever on Raw. They kind of both have that, "Meaningless WWE midcarder," stink on them I guess. Sydal's been gone forever though which is the weirdest thing, and had Indie cred before he signed Spears was OVW straight through I think the thing with Sydal is that he very much hit his ceiling in WWE. He wasn't really more than an upper midcarder in ROH, and he went to WWE to be a midcarder (albeit opening doors for high flyers in the process). He isn't really going to be any bigger anywhere else unless he reinvents himself...and if he were going to do that, he would likely have done it by now.

Sydal would be great in a mentor/protégé role for a highflier tag team. Problem is, in WWE, they were doing that with him and Kofi and he got busted for pot twice in about a month. In AEW, there's already so many tag teams, they'd be lost in the shuffle. Plus, I'm not sure who would be a good fit for him in that type of team.

Nothing wrong with being an upper midcarder though, Sydal is one of those guys where you can throw him out there and the stuff will be good. Guys like that in wrestling are always needed, gadget players if you will.

He's a guy who has a few matches, does a few skits, does a few jobs, and then moves on. That's fine. AEW is a territory, a successful one, and being on national TV helps freelancers get spots.

That was a fun one hour show with 3 matches and none of them were bad. Here are my takes.
1. Sign Ben Carter now....because if Seth Rollins sees this, he's gonna have a phone call to try to get his student in WWE
2. Surprised they would have Shawn Spears beat Matt Sydal in Sydal's Dynamite debut, but then again...this company has had other people beaten in their Dynamite debuts.
3. Brandi Rhodes vs. Anna Jay was better than it had any right to be.
4. It's great to see a commentary team still seem like they love what they are doing and be spontaneous with things.

Damn Puf is mesmerising. He moves well for a guy his size, like, he's not plodding, not unrealistically swift, just watchable and just right in what he does. I wouldn't mind seeing more of him, we need a big jobber for powerhouses to toss around and he's fun to watch.

Sydal not signed he was just on per appearance deal. Hes currently working with ROH as well. So he wasn't going to win here.

After Raw, it's nice to see a wrestling show where it was booked by people who have aren't apparently astonishingly high or literal goddamn space aliens.
An angle began between Spears and Sky, Brandi and Anna Jay's feud was further built, no one was eaten by a f***ing shark....

I mean Kris Statlander is on the shelf atm, of course there were no space aliens.
