This was such an awesome moment. They had to give the people what they want.

Have you ever wanted to see John Silver dress up as Fred Durst?

Have you ever wanted to see John Silver dress up as Fred Durst? I hope he wears one of those wigs on BTE to make Angel's feel even dumber.

Man, I love Silver. I almost hate to ask a serious question in a banter thread but here we go: Is there a ceiling for Silver or no? He's obviously incredibly talented in ring and he's absolute comedy gold (no pun intended) but is he too funny to ever take seriously or can he walk that Kurt Angle line? Silver is freakishly strong so I feel that he'll be one of those guys that, while they're not a serious character, they can get serious when the time is right like Orange Cassidy.

I am A-Ok with Silver getting a singles push with major assists from the Dark Order. He's a good worker, his Airplane Bomb is an awesome finisher, some of the crispest strikes in wrestling... and he's over as hell, that helps.
Dude's just special, I like Reynolds too he's a great compliment to him, but Silver's got that type of special charisma complimented with in ring ability that isn't seen often.

John Silver, been a fan of his since CZW. He's a pretty good wrestler with goofy charisma, I'm glad he's moving up in the wrestling world

I jumped up and down and yelled yes yes yes yes when he won. I felt like a kid with a moment of joy.

Man sometimes I really miss crowds cause you know Damn well we would be getting JOHHNNNYYYY HHUUUNNNGGEEEEE CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP or JJJJOOOHHHHNNNNYYYSSSSS GONNAAAAA EAT YOU!. I used to think Jericho or OC would get the biggest reaction but at this point when/if we ever get back to full crowds my man is getting a stone cold pop.

I think this is the difference in approach between WWE and AEW that I really appreciate about the latter.
In WWE, if something you're doing is over, it gets run into the ground or destroyed entirely because it didn't get you over how WWE wanted.
In AEW, if something you're doing is over, you get encouraged to roll with it.

In WWE, if something you're doing is over, it gets run into the ground or destroyed entirely because it didn't get you over how WWE wanted. In AEW, if something you're doing is over, you get encouraged to roll with it. Not just that, imagine someone looking at how much more exciting someone is on Youtube than on TV and saying "Hey I like this, I want you to start showing this personality on TV, too". So many people in WWE have glimpses of something better when they're doing Youtube interviews, and it's only ever translated on-screen into anything one time, with New Day. And that's right under WWE's nose, on official channels.
