Big E can move to Raw and win the wwe title there since there doesn’t seem to be a plan there, while Roman can take on the Rock, The Fiend, or a newly drafted Drew at mania 37. Mania 38 Roman can lose the belt to Keith lee or a Big E that comes back to the blue brand after a run with the wwe title. I feel like fans would be back by mania 38 so it would be a HUGE moment when loses the title

Unless you could promise me from now untill Mania 38 we would get the best wrestling show of all time and not just that but the best written show on television with the best most creative stories , the best characters , the most well rounded booking of all time where not only does everyone top to bottom on the roster get something to do and are booked with the strongest care to detail and continuity.
Then hell to the f***ing no I do not wanna see Roman hold the title all way to WM38 I do not even want to see him hold it for even half that time.

You’d better have a hell of a story in the back pocket to justify a world title reign of a year and a half for a guy who is 20 less appearances away from part-timer Brock Lesnar booking.

Will the Iron Sheik finally make it in time for WM 38?

I prefer it. He should only be beaten at a WM.

I'm always in favor of long title reigns.

I can't see Roman losing at Mania 38 for some reason but I actually don't have a problem, at least for now, with the idea of him holding the title for that long.

Maybe even afterwards unless they give him an opponent people care about. As awesome as heel Roman is, he sadly has a dearth of credible face challengers at present.

Not at all, hell, he can even go over the rock at mania. just please let the ascension of Big E be what puts him down

Bold of you to assume he will drop the title before the entire fanbase gets soured on him like on Becky Lynch. Except he's not going to get pregnant and go away, so not even then.

If the story is compelling enough, I don’t mind how long the reign is.
Much like Batman, it’s the rotation of his rogue gallery that makes Batman special. Nobody dislikes Batman! But we don’t ALWAYS want to see him vs The Joker either. Or read an entire arc of Batman patrolling the streets, body-casting only street thugs.
It’s all about the stories being told.

some people turned on becky, some were disappointed with the booking but i wouldn't say the entire fanbase turned on becky.
as for roman, i think wwe likes to write itself into holes where "so and so can only lose the title at mania" and give them the title 6 months+ before then ensuring that everything that happens between the title win and mania is rendered moot. not to mention having to kill the momentum of anyone who gets hot in that stretch because they weren't the handpicked choice to do the de-titling. not really interested in another drawn out title run until mania before there's even a chance of him dropping it in the meantime. felt the same for brock's long title runs where only roman and seth to a lesser degree were presented as being equal to the task until mcintyre got into the mix.

As great as Roman is right now, I don't want to see anyone hold a title that long.

He should hold it through Mania
He needs to walk in and walk out the champ at this point in his career

I’d rather he drop it at Mania 37 to maybe Big E or Drew in a unification. But any long reign needs exciting title defenses to keep it compelling.
Roman would need to face a gauntlet of well booked, protected challengers. Superstars who are coming into the title match on a roll, a hot streak. They can’t be randomly taking L’s during the buildup, because you want the challengers to entertain the possibility month to month that Roman could possibly lose.
And the Usos should be his gatekeepers. Opponents can get the shine off of them before the PPV, they can be Roman’s sub-bosses who protect the final boss.

Hell, I wanted him to drop it to Jey Uso. Just be so disrespectful that he treats the match like a walk in the park then Jey catches him with a roll-up or something for the quick pin and Roman/Heyman are stunned. You get a massive upset that proves that sometimes anything really can happen then obviously it would be the catalyst for Roman to go full sadistic heel and destroy Jey the next week/month to get the title back then he can have a long reign. Short title reigns to move a story along are fine sometimes.
Now that that obviously didn't happen, I think he should hold it to Wrestlemania 37. Absolutely not Wrestlemania 38 though. That's far too long for a heel title reign in this day and age. Look at Brock's year and a half reign. And Roman would be on TV way more often beating everyone. The babyface side would be killed dead if they all go through 18 months of failure.

Well, the title reign IS the story here. The curiosity of who could take Reigns down and become champ is enough of a draw on its own. If Jimmy and Jey join him, they could add intrigue by Roman telling them to be meaner and they’re reluctant, but WWE would probably be wise to keep it basic.

I adore the man but no. That's playing with more than just fire if they try to stretch it out that long.

If WWE hadn't had so many long boring title reigns the last few years I'd be more for it.

Remember Becky's reign? idk how anyone could forget her amazing matches sans the match where she initially won her titles...and then went onto to beat every single challenger handedly and then treated them like they were beneath her and no sold pretty much any heat they could generate off of her instantly....hi Shayna Bazler and we were expected to believe any of those women were any sort of challenge to her even though she had ran through them multiple times.
No thanks it was bad enough once.
