It's equal Durant carried that Warriors team in the Finals both years Durant had Steph, Klay, and Green. That’s two HOF’ers and an all star level guy as the 4th option. No disrespect to Middleton and Jrue, but they ain’t the Warriors. Not to mention KD went to an already established elite team, while Giannis’ supporting cast was built while he rose up. Giannis’ one being worth more than KD’s two is accurate, IMO. This is on Dirk’s level, which is a good thing. Draymond played like shit during the Finals both times KD put up the numbers and carried that team with LeBron defending him. He earned his rings. His 2 equals Giannis 1

Giannis' ring weighs more than Durant's combined. It's equal Durant carried that Warriors team in the Finals both years KD balled out in GS, but his first year Steph put up almost identical numbers in the playoffs to the 2015 title when he won it all without KD. Probably better actually.

Giannis, Khris and Jrue will never have to pay for another beer, sausage or fried cheese curd ever again They say Giannis danced the Polka all night with all dollies in town like Da Crusher.

Probably better actually. Don't get me wrong. he didn't do that shit by himself. Far from it It's just a tired narrative to say he joined the team and that's it. He contributed and was the major factor in winning that title. Curry and Klay basically deferred to him as the number 1 option 2017 NBA Finals he averaged 35 PPG, Curry had 27 and Klay at 16. 2018 NBA Finals he averaged 29 PPG, Curry had 28 and Klay had 16. Once Cavs lost game 1 after LeBron put up 50 and JR had that bonehead play, they were deflated Curry in 2015 had 26 a game and they would won 2016 and never had a need for KD if Harrison Barnes hit his open jumpshots

So who needs the ring more, to solidify their legacy?
James Harden or Damian Lillard?

No arguing that. He wasn't a passenger on the road to a title like a Brook Lopez. But you had a line-up that was 7-5 the last two Finals, who were already the betting favorite to win the next year, and then you add a top 3-5 player in the world to that and it's a wrap. From the second he signed they were gonna win the next 2 titles. It's not that his play was irrelevant from then on, but no team was going to stop KD/Steph/Klay on offense. You needed a much better defensive team in Toronto plus Kawhi playing all-time basketball plus KD getting injured to finally put the nail in their coffin.

So who needs the ring more, to solidify their legacy? James Harden or Damian Lillard? Harden. He's been a top player for the longest time with all these accolades and awards, and yet his team's never really followed through any time they've been title contenders. And at least for Lillard, there's the sorta excuse that he's always been on one of those forever-underacheiving franchises.

So who needs the ring more, to solidify their legacy? James Harden or Damian Lillard? Dame. Harden has his legacy regardless. Dame needs a title. It's kinda like how Charles Barkley is viewed vs. how Dominique Wilkins is viewed. Chuck is remembered because he was one of the best of the best, just didn't win a title. Wilkins is often forgotten, but would not be as much if he had a ring.

Is Giannis the most likable athlete in the history of sports? Twitter is also a buzz about him going to Chick Fil-A and ordering 50 nuggets and a half-Sprite/half-Lemonade. A GOAT order for a newly crowned champeen.

Dude also asked consent before videoing the stranger. And ordered no ice.
He's a king amongst men.

I will be going to Chick Fil A at some point this week and getting the half Sprite half lemonade. I am not an enormous professional athlete so I don't think I can do the 50 piece nugget lol.

Love that Giannis stayed and won. I hope more superstars follow and do the same. Love team loyalty Giannis also called out the super teams in his post gamer, saying he could have taken the easy way and joined a super team but won it the hard way instead. Love his attitude, but I don't think others will follow. Zion probably already knows where he's going next. Bucks have competent management and gradually did enough to give their superstar enough good players so he could win a title. From Paul to Anthony Davis and now Zion, the pelicans franchise has failed their superstars. If he leaves, it's their fault

So one of my colleagues, who is Greek, emailed our team about the fact Giannis and the Bucks won the series this morning.
If you're wondering how the reaction's been over here.

This reminds me of Hakeem's title. Giannis was that overwhelming force like the Dream was. Couldn't do anything to stop him.
