Looking at the standings: -Nets have won 9 of their last 10 games, and will probably run down Philly IMO. The Bucks could also chase down the Nets. It'll be close between the 3 either way, but I think once Jrue comes back it'll be 1. Milwaukee 2. New Jersey and 3. Philly. Not that it matters, as home court is less impactful these days sadly. -The best team currently not making the playoffs to me is Memphis. They haven't been healthy with Ja missing time, Winslow just recently debuting, and JJJ still yet to debut among other injuries. -The West looks like it's gonna be SO much fun to watch. Outside of Clippers losing to Denver, last playoffs was paint by numbers. This year, it seems like it's not just the Lakers/Clippers and then everyone else. Lakers are still the favorites and Clippers are still the match-up everyone wants to see for them. But teams like Utah and Phoenix have stepped their game up. The Spurs small ball could give some teams issues. -In contrast, I think once Miami chases down NY, the East's first round will be somewhat chalk. Especially if Boston doesn't get it together and Toronto trades Lowry. If Miami and NY keep 4/5, that will be a fun throwback series. -I REALLY hope Charlotte hangs on to a playoff spot. They're immeasurably more fun to watch than Atlanta or Indiana, and neither of those teams are particularly boring. Imagine a Brooklyn/Charlotte series. No defense, all flash. -I still don't think people expect much of Utah in the playoffs, despite the record. If Conley and Bojan get hot, they could make some noise.

Seeing other coaches comment on it on Twitter.., Am I na茂ve or is there actually nothing wrong with firing a coach that has a .344 winning percentage over 2 and a half years? Luke Walton has a higher winning percentage that you. Says nothing against the man, he just didn鈥檛 accomplish what was needed.

I think people feel like Pierce didn't get a fair shake this year due to injuries BUT that's part of the NBA This team was not meant to be 11th in the NBA this year (tho they are still in range for a playoff spot). Most likely the team was starting to tune him out and they rather have the veteran McMillan try to lead this team for the rest of the season

Coaches are always going to stick up for their own no matter how bad a fired coach is. Pierce didn't get a fair shake with the injuries, but it's not like he's Pat Riley either.

Shaq really trying to bury his own basketball knowledge the last couple years. Doesn't understand that the way he "defended" the pick n roll for most of his career would get him toasted in today's game. Actually, I think he realizes it and it pisses him off. No, it's the children who are wrong.

He also said yesterday that todays players are soft because they can't take criticism in regards to everyone calling him a hater That's because you are a hater Shaq. Calling Gobert a bum because he got paid is not criticism. Telling Donovan Mitchell he isn't a superstar is not criticism. Shaq seemingly forgets his own past and how he reacted to criticism. Even to this day when someone says something his retort is how many rings you got As Christian Wood said, he's a casual.

Shaq is a shameless shill who spends most of his time chasing advertising bucks, as opposed to immersing himself in tape. But when he was in the league, he had such a fun, easygoing personality. Now he seems like a guy who just wants to undercut most of today's game and players to put himself over. Stark contrast to KG who recently said that most of the dinosaurs from his time couldn't play today. And KG was batshit crazy, all business on the court. But now, he'll readily compliment the game its stars today. What a wild role reversal. Shaq comes off like someone like Pauly Shore, who would rather talk about the time when he was on top than realize that his time has passed. And he's doing better than 99.9% of retired players, but that ego won't let him just have what he has.

Shaq has always been petty in his career but his play on the court and his personality helped people look over that. He left Orlando because he was upset they advertised Penny more then him. The weird thing is, Shaq come in this era and absolutely dominate but he refuses to give props He is one of the rare legends who I don't hear any players give props too in terms of looking for help. People went to Kareem to learn footwork. Kobe opened his own academy and always showed love to the current players when he retired. Duncan came back to coach for a year etc... Players respect Shaq game but I don't think they give a damn about him at all

Shaq remains an unbearable buffoon. Any show he鈥檚 on I refuse to watch, and it actually pains me he has a minor ownership piece of my team.

Harden returns to Houston tonight
He is hoping that he gets a lot of love. He no doubt deserve it and the organization will show it to you but the fans are still going be pissy at you for the way you left

The unprofessional shit he was pulling as the team tried to trade him to one of his destinations was downright embarrassing.

Why does the NBA still have divisions? They are worthless when it comes to playoff seedings. Because your record matters in your division聽 Just because you don't get automatic seeding when if you win your division, doesn't mean it is worthless If that's the case, do it like Baseball used to and just lump them into 2 conferences, no divisions. OR do what the NHL used to do and Top 4 in each division make the playoffs.

NBA stars really starting to get fed up with refs
Booker got kicked out the game yesterday in the 3rd quarter and Donovan Mitchell got kicked out in OT vs Philly today
He blasted the refs saying he is f***ing tired of them dictating games and the whole league is fed up

I think NBA players never think they deserve to be ejected, but at the same time, refs used to be conscious of guys having 1 tech and (rightfully) they definitely had to step over the line to earn that 2nd. At times, shorter rope for habitual line-steppers like Sheed, Rodman, Draymond, Artest, etc. But that's deserved. Now, it's anybody. You do anything, you get the hook. This is the most egregious: NSFW: some profanity As much as some people love to whine about how soft the game and the players have become, the refs have become softer than soft serve. When you're tossing JJ Redick for passing the ball to you, you need to reassess your career choice.

Frank Ntilikina has revived his Knicks career with his play. They doing what I been saying to do forever, have him play defense and shoot corner 3's. Stop trying make him a conventional PG
Frank is so far 13/21 from 3 this season in his brief time
