Curious when they’ll announce the teams for World Tag League?
G.O.D. is almost a certainty to be in it considering Tama mentioned heading back to Japan on the last episode of his podcast.

Impact are promoting their guy as part of the Super J Cup. I thought that was the one door more forbidden than the AEW door.

Probably at Power Struggle Yeah, my guess was after Power Struggle since they might have some surprises at the show. That and/or certain PS title match losers will be on a team, and they can't "make that decision" until the show is over.

So who had “New Japan starts promoting GCW” on their 2020 Bingo cards?

If you’re a NJPW fan isn’t this what you sign up for? Exhibition tags that exhaust interactions before the actual main.,,, they’re doing it now because it’s Naito as champ and can’t give him a new rival. The most popular wrestler in Japan, that’s why other booking stuff—oh wait, maybe this not good booking is really long term booking! Nevermind, once something good happens the bad thing you’re upset about will be good. Har har. Even people who defend Gedo having longterm booking don't make bones about the fact that NJPW has a lot of filler matches. Granted, I prefer it to WWE's doing this, but with singles matches, and then wondering why people don't give a shit, but "longterm payoffs can be worth the wait" and "a bunch of 6-man matches can be pretty dull" can co-exist. I wonder if the idea is supposed to be for these guys to work on their chemistry since house shows aren't a thing, I guess, or what. Admittedly, I was kinda being a dick and grind my axe about that Gedo stuff any chance I get so I’m sorry, but I really do wonder if there’s stuff NJPW can do in place of the lead up tag matches. I think other companies do it as well but generally the two involved in the upcoming match don’t interact as much. I feel like sometimes I see the match before it happens. Given the condensed roster size because of the pandemic maybe it’s the wrong time for me to complain though lol

I understand they're still not back to 100% of the roster quite yet, but I'm getting bored with him now, which in turn is starting to make me bored with Naito. KENTA and ZSJ are much more interesting opponents for Naito right now. Taichi especially would be, coming off of his G1. Even SANADA would be, as much as his shitty Skull End takes me out of his matches sometimes.

He has chemistry with them and more exciting angles/banter to build matches around. I like Evil but I don’t think they are doing him any favors. The shock win definitely elevated him but he’s facing the pitfall of the aftermath—White seems to have rebounded fine from the same situation but for Evil it’s up in the air I guess.

What happened to Lio Rush retiring? Homie was making a big deal about that after he got let go in WWE selling off all his old shit so he can get more into music I remember he had a big match in GCW and afterwards Janela cut a long passionate promo telling him he's not allowed to retire now because he is too good at this or something to that that extent

So who had “New Japan starts promoting GCW” on their 2020 Bingo cards? Or hell, promoting Impact Wrestling?

At this point, EVIL is more interesting butting heads with Jay White or KENTA. Hell, KENTA is the most compelling body in NJPW right now.

Speaking of Strong, can I just say how much it tickles me that Fred Rosser has a place to do a wrestling in 2020? Great stuff.

I'm hoping Jay screws EVIL out of the belts after losing to Ibushi purely out of spite. That's the one feud I'm ready to see commrnce, already.

Hiromu probably wins the BOSJ but, he really does not need it at all.

Also, any word on if Nobu is hurt? That finish looked nasty.
