"But I'm not a rastlllerrrr' Looking back, the time period when Paul was in character but not in his 1991-96 character = hilarious. He was like a mix between Bearer and Percy Pringle, and I liked it. Kinda like how the maligned heel run for Steve Austin was a pleasant amalagam between Stone Cold and Stunning. And dammit I liked that too. Maybe WCCW/USWA alumni knew how to combine their best known characters?

He was a great talent and made a gimmick work that a lot of other guys would have failed at in a few months. I don't like his "watching the door" during the Jerry Lawler crown incident. I wonder how those two got along for years if Lawler ever found out. That type of thing seems pretty childish. I also don't care for him being disrespectful to Sunny. Granted, Sunny probably deserved it even back then but I can't help but think he was probably a bit jealous that it took her like 2 years in wrestling to gain all her fame when it took him about 10 years. He regularly posted on kayfabememories board many years ago so that's pretty great but he probably had an old school mentality about him and acted on it the way he could considering he couldn't get too physical. I'm sorry he passed so soon. I know his weight was an issue at times but I also feel like his wife's death probably brought on his early death.

And Calling himself in order to restart a match between Andrew Everett vs Shibata

He talking to Jerry Lawler about his affair with Kane’s mother. I second that. I laughed when he called her a two bit whore in that high-pitched voice of his.

Everyone's picked great ones. Lots of entertaining moments.
From purely a kayfabe point of view, it's kinda fun that literally his last appearance on-screen was Kane shoving him in an ice locker. Like, for the character that's a hell of an end point. Not just randomly appearing at ringside for a match, or in a backstage promo segment, nope, frozen to death by one of his sons.

Terrifying Kamala by wheeling out a coffin.
Then nearly killing him when he opened the coffin and showed the Undertaker inside it.

Paul showing fear when backed against a ring post, then the adrenaline kicking in,, resulting in him spilling his secret when Undertaker is about to beat the hell out of him.
"HE TOLD ME, UNDERTAKER! KANE TOLD ME! YOUR BROTHER! HE'S STILL ALIVE!"
His best acting work by far. That whole segment was golden.

At Survivor Series I really wish they would precede Undertaker's theme with an 'oh yeeees'.

In one of his STWW shoots, Bruce Prichard mentions the first time he was ever to the Moody household that he went to the fridge to find a bong filled with red wine. Old Bill Moody def had his raunchy side, so you can tell that promo tickled him silly. Probably why he could recite it word for word years after the fact.

That one WrestleMania: The Arcade Game VHS tape where Paul Bearer tells you how to do Undertaker's special moves.

Not really a Paul Bearer story, but more of a Percy Pringle story, maybe even just a Bill Moody story.
First time I got to work ring crew for Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, they were still very much a local access show in SoCal. At one point, Dave Marquez calls a talent meeting to go over ratings and demos. All the wrestlers are on the hard cam, bleacher seats of the soundstage. Marquez goes over everything, and points out that they're doing good in the 18-49, but absolutely crushing it in the 50+. Everyone starts laughing.
From the other side of the soundstage, at the commentary table, comes that booming, bombastic, nasally, Southern, sarcastic as all f*** voice completely filling up the room.
"WHAT THE F*** IS WRONG WITH THAT!?!?!?!?!?!"

It was a brilliant change of character, and as much as we love to dump in Vince McMahon, he was spot on in creating the Paul Bearer character.
