Does WWE even still own trademarks for wrestling tights imagery for a wrestler who died over 20 years ago? Whose next of kin want absolutely nothing to do with them and sued them?

Maybe they can't use anything that Bret specifically uses now that he's on a Legends deal. But otherwise it shouldn't be an issue. Martha probably has the final say anyway.

I don't think it has a proper release date yet. I think the December timeframe was more wishful thinking. Not even sure yet if February is confirmed or just a placeholder.

Yeah was based around the fact that places like Amazon have end of year listed as the release date.

Yeah, New Years Eve is very much a placeholder date. No game is going to release on a Saturday, especially on a holiday and barely missing the previous holiday season.

All Elite Wrestling and THQ Nordic are looking to make a big splash with the upcoming release of AEW Fight Forever by launching on Xbox Game Pass.

All Elite Wrestling’s first console game had its first big reveal to the video game world back in August by publisher THQ Nordic. Fight Forever went on to win the Best Sports/Racing Game Award at this year’s Gamescom, but there has been little to no information on the game since.

There is good news for the game on the horizon, however, as numerous sources have informed me that when AEW Fight Forever is released, it will be part of the Xbox Game Pass on day one. This will give All Elite Wrestling’s first video game a massive boost in accessibility right out of the gate.

By launching on Xbox Game Pass, AEW Fight Forever will be available to over 25 million subscribers on Microsoft’s subscription service. This will be the first licensed wrestling game that has ever been made available on Xbox Game Pass. It’s currently unknown at this time as to when THQ Nordic or All Elite Wrestling will make the official announcement, as we still haven’t gotten an official release date for the game.

AEW Fight Forever is being developed by Yuke’s and is currently scheduled to be released on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Yeah, I might of waited a bit but if it's on game pass I'll check it out right away. Also for the first game in what's hopefully a series the increased access and the guaranteed money they get from their deal with Microsoft can be nothing but a positive.

Game pass is the smartest thing they could do with the game. It’ll immediately get it in people’s hands with little to no barrier to entry. Smart as hell.

If they are sticking with this developer and engine, Gamepass is the best move to get everyone hungry for a much more fleshed-out version. I was worried the game was going to bomb due to being less feature wise than Arcade Action Wrestling even but making it instantly available should get many more people invested than before.

I have no modern gaming systems so I won't be getting this

but I really want AEW to have this be a huge financial hit - they've sunk a ton of money into it

I don't think the PC version of the GamePass has as many options for games as the one for Xbox consoles. But this is a really smart move to get as many people as possible to check out the game without dropping $60-70 first.

I wonder if AEW/THQ will do something similar to get it on Sony's version of the GamePass for their consoles. Though the PSN take isn't nearly as good as the real McCoy.
