One of my favorite shots I’ve taken so far. BioWare: "We're removing the butt shots from cut scenes." Mass Effect Players: "But you gave us a camera mode."

Ded thay ficks thee ending?? {Spoiler}obviously joking. The only problem I ever had with the ending was the game ending and me feeling empty inside because it was over

I haven't played this game in years, so for some reason I didn't think that was what that choice ended up doing. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Unfortunately, you can't save both. Either Ashley dies or Kaiden. I actually went back and restarted that section. I'm not going to be stuck with his ass.

So I just had to roll back nearly an hour of playtime because {Spoiler}instead of going through the process of interrogating Harkin to find Garrus, warning Jenna of the danger of being a C-Sec informant in Chora's Den, helping the C-Sec investigation and extracting her from there, recruiting Garrus and Wrex, killing Fist, and saving and recruiting Tali, I immediately recruited Garrus and Wrex, killed Fist, and saved and recruited Tali. Must remember to make more frequent saves.

Re: Virmire choice spoilers for ME1 and ME3 {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I actually end up saving Kaiden way more than I do Ashley. In purely practical terms, he's more useful to me since I play a Soldier. Character-wise, Ashley is more fleshed out/less boring in ME1 but she has basically nothing to do in ME3 - she gets no squad interactions and has very little dialogue once she's on the ship, compared to Kaidan who has a good amount of both. Though Ashley freaking out about my joining Cerberus makes more sense than Kaidan, who's usually more logical and level-headed. Maybe I can save Ash in ME1 and send her off to become a War Asset in ME3?

I always choose Kaiden because he shared voice actors with Carth Onasi from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and that gives me warm fuzzys

Two things make me laugh every time, the way you just instantly appear when you get out of the Mako and the way the zombie dudes around like a kid at the toy store.

Apart from that I agree, Ashley has nothing to do if not romanced whereas Kaiden has some character growth and is an absolute machine in me3. [\spoiler]

Liara is definitely the way to go for me. Her voice does things to me. Her romance being the most fleshed out is a bonus. The actress also voices Lightning in Final Fantasy XIII, and while I’m still split on that game when I found that out Lightning took on a whole other level. & Palutena in Kid Icarus Uprising.

My issue with Kaiden besides being really bland.
Ashley is the only straight soldier companion.
Kaiden and Liara fill the same role as a biotic.

Throughout the trilogy the human military-type squadmates are generally the most superfluous. Ashley doesn't offer anything Wrex and Garrus don't do better. Kaiden doesn't offer anything Liara (biotic) and Tali (tech) don't do better. Jacob doesn't offer anything Miranda, Samara, and Jack don't do better. James doesn't offer anything Garrus doesn't do better. Hell, in ME3 spend Garrus' skill points a certain way and give him a specific gun with specific upgrades and Shepard is pretty much superfluous.

Since this went over quite well with people, I hope maybe Dragon Age Origins might get the same treatment.

Ashley is a damage dealing machine in me1. Apart from that correct, Jacob and James (hell Zaaed and me3 Ashley) dont over much. Legit excited about getting to me3 and doing the Garrus godhood build.

Ashley provides me plenty that Wrex and Garrus can’t. Like a love interest that I’m actually interested in.

She also has one other issue over Wrex and Garrus in ME1... Armor. It's WAY easier to find armor for her than it is Wrex and Garrus since Human armor drops all the damned time. The alien armors don't seem to drop anywhere near as much.
