That's right it was 20 years ago that the most famous and arguably most enduring THQ Aki title was released, capping off a remarkable series of titles and providing the source for various rom hacks that are still going strong now. Fitting that just a week ago Kenny Omega cited it as inspiration for the AEW video game, demonstrating how beloved it is to this very day.

Who is HHH pedigreeing on the cover? I believe it’s been answered before, but I can’t recall offhand. Great game that I spent WAY too many hours playing

I probably played this game more than I played any video game in my life. My first copy had the glitch. I bought an ex-rental and that did not. Also there was a Game Shark code that unlocked everything.

I’ve found a site somewhere that has a bunch of Saturday Night Slammasters and Street Fighter CAWs. When I get bored/go insane, I fill up the CAW slots with them, as well as a bunch of guys who aren’t in the game.

Wasn’t an N64 kid so I didn’t like it when I played it because I was unfamiliar with the controls. I’m sure if there was a PS port I would have loved it.

Liked the gameplay and music, but going through three copies because of the data-erasing bug wasn't fun.
The fourth one had the data save bug after completing an entire championship mode, so as annoying as that was, it was slightly more manageable for me.

I was a massive WCW/NWO Revenge and WrestleMania 2000 fan and so I was so excited for No Mercy when it came out and couldn't wait to get playing on Christmas morning. But alas, mine was glitchy as hell and in the end it was the death knell for my N64 as I picked up a Playstation from a school friend a few months later. I would love to get hold of a non-bugged copy to play now but as far as I know, there's no real way of knowing.

I remember playing this and loving it. I had the bug glitch version, and I think I had to email them and send it back to the company, and they sent me a new version of it without the glitch. After that, it was a fun as hell game to play, that I played all the way through to 2002, when I got a PS2 for Christmas.
I still have my N64 and copy of it, and I pull it out to play every once in a while.

Played it and honestly, I never really liked it. Missions were almost 2K-like in painful difficulty.

I remember having a mod for this in the mid 2000s on my computer that was Tna vs ROh. Was pretty rad

Still holds up, and appreciated to this day with an amazing online community. Even without the mods, I have created more with this one game, than any other game I have ever played.

That’s one thing I miss from the N64/PSX and PS2/GCN/XBox generation, that every console got its own specific WWF game for awhile. It wasn’t til PS3/360 era that they started releasing one SD game across all consoles. Sure, some of the releases were half ass (WM X8 and Raw for example) but some like DoR and DoR 2 were a blast. And the Aki games obviously

The GOAT of wrestling games. Mine didn't have the glitch....until I tried using a memory pack. YEARS of CAWS and gone.
