Pretty crazy. I Can't think of any other time someone was in a title match in a major company just 15 matches and 1 year into their pro career. Impressive stuff.

How many matches was Paul Wight in before challenging for the WCW World title in 1995? That's probably the next closest thing, but Anna Jay is even more impressive because she doesn't have the sheer size that made The Giant worth hotshotting like that. Anny Jay is here because of sheer potential and natural ability (and a bit of being in the right wrestling school when the pandemic struck).

Yeah, pretty sure Show's first ever match was his debut title match with Hogan.

It's rare this happens but it can. Strowman's first Main Roster match was only like... his 7th match ever or something

Cain Velasquez had 3 pro wrestling matches in his 6 month career in AAA/WWE, the third of which was for the WWE Title.

She still needs a lot of work and it just shows how shallow their women's division is. She might be good someday but doesn't need to be anywhere near a title match.

Not sure what match number it was for him, def not one of his first or anything, but Sting got his first title shot with Flair at the Clash during his first year. Classic match for anyone who’s never seen it.
Anna is ok. Good look, not bad in the ring. She needs to go full on Dark Order though, like a female John Silver or something.

That was a nice 'I'm not a rookie any more' promo.
But like. You are so, so, so still a rookie.

She's got the backing of an established heel faction, is in an angle where she is trying to sway a friend into thinking Dark Order will open up opportunities, and the champion is someone whose biggest asset is that she is easy to work with and can often cover for peoples' weaknesses. She would be a good option for a title match even if they had NXT's roster out back. Now, if this was a PPV, I'd agree with you, but it's not. She is a perfect TV title match candidate.

She’s got a lot of potential but there’s still a lot of refining for her to do.

A title match against Shida is going to be great seasoning for her. She has a lot of potential and is already better than she should be for her level of experience, keep her working with experienced hands and she could really be something special, IMHO. A prolonged angle with Serena Deeb would help her tons.
