I can’t pick one thing out. As long as we stayed away from the porn channel, my parents never restricted what I saw.

Not a tv show, but I was reading Mad and Cracked as early as first grade. Same here. But then my parents never restricted what I was reading. Hell they never really restricted what I watched. Was pretty much the same with both my sons.

In retrospect, I've no idea what my parents were up to with how I saw so much stand-up off the Paramount Comedy Channel.
I would've been like 10/11 and watching Jack Dee, Lee Evans and even Eddie Murphy's Raw.

Three's Company, didn't get a lot of the jokes until I got older but enjoyed the antics of John Ritter.

Silk Stalkings. It came on right after Raw and I had to turn the volume down so Mom and Dad couldn’t hear what I was watching.

As a kid my parents let my brother and I watch a lot of sitcoms we probably weren’t old enough to get. I vividly remember seeing an episode of Men Behaving Badly at the age of about nine and finding all the swearing and adults misbehaving hysterically funny.
At a similar age they let me hear a Lou Reed record. As an adult I question their judgment slightly, songs about heroin and transsexuals are heavy going for a child that age, but those things didn’t do me any lasting damage. I don’t think.

We got HBO when I was 8 (1983), thus began the corruption of me and my girl friends.
So many stand up comedy shows that taught me some new words- Eddie Murphy, Carlin, Buddy Hackett, Robin Williams, Andrew Dice Clay.
Watched my first true porn at a slumber party on NYE in 8th grade. On a b & w 13" tv.

Three's Company, didn't get a lot of the jokes until I got older but enjoyed the antics of John Ritter. Same with me. Also this thread has made me realize, again, how I am way way way older than most of the regular posters. Seeing people mention shows like say South Park ,that started airing when I was in my mid 20s.

I used to watch Golden Girls with my grandma when I was super young and I loved it. Watching it now, I have no idea how I would have gotten any of the humour. (Unrelated, the show holds up really well).

My favorite movie was Alien. At age 7. I was a strange kid. The first 3 movies I saw,at the age of 3,were 1.Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.The Exorcist 3.Star Wars Even as a young kid TCM was my fave movie, with Star Wars being a close second. When I met Gunner back in 97 I mentioned to him seeing TCM at the age of 3. He gave me an odd look. I'm sure he was wondering why my parents, was my dad, took me to see it.

Back when the Simpsons was controversial I wasn’t supposed to watch it, but my parents enjoyed it to the point that they realized they couldn’t prevent me from seeing it. They also wouldn’t let me buy Mortal Kombat, but that didn’t stop me from playing it in the arcade. Well, I hope you didn't steal the game just because your parents wouldn't buy it for you.

Remember when I was 2-3 in like '93 and used to sneak up to turn on the TV to watch and then didn't want to get up in the morning

My oldest bro is quite older than me. I can remember watching things like Eddie Murphy's Raw and George Carlin at an age where I didn't get half of what they were saying

Three's Company, didn't get a lot of the jokes until I got older but enjoyed the antics of John Ritter. Ahh I forgot about Threes Company. Same here. Ritter kept me glued with his timing, delivery and physicality. Which also reminds me I was watching All in The Family re-runs as well as a child. Which was a lot to take in as a kid lol.
