Three's Company, didn't get a lot of the jokes until I got older but enjoyed the antics of John Ritter. Ahh I forgot about Threes Company. Same here. Ritter kept me glued with his timing, delivery and physicality. Which also reminds me I was watching All in The Family re-runs as well as a child. Which was a lot to take in as a kid lol. That another I saw as a kid, first run. Lots of it flew over my head. But it still made me laugh.

So soap opera fandom started when I was around 8, in the middle of a nazi storyline.

When I was reeeeeeeally young, we only had one clear TV channel (no cable, no external antenna)... the local CBC station. Saturday nights they had hockey, documentaries, and Monty Python. My mom hated it but there was nothing else to watch.
She had to leave the room first time she saw "Sam Peckinpah's Salad Days"...

Used to sneak to the living room to watch Tales from the Crypt when I was about 8.
Robocop, Rambo, saw them all growing up. Favorite movie was Nightmare on Elm Street. Didn't think anything of it at that age.

My dad let my brother and I watch a truck load of rated R movies when we weren’t old enough to.
I loved South Park in my younger days.

Does Beavis and Butt-Head count? We had the Christmas special on VHS when I was about seven, and I watched the hell out of it, even then. That was mine, at least before my parents found out and banned me from watching it for roughly two years. Beavis and Butt-Head was the one I wasn't allowed to watch because my mom saw something on the news about a kid who set his house on fire and that show got blamed. But she did let me watch the Simpsons which was pretty adult and South Park that was worse.

Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. Seeing blood and hearing swear words in a 'cartoon' blew my mind. It was also the first time I saw boobs (even if they were animated lol).

I can’t pick one thing out. As long as we stayed away from the porn channel, my parents never restricted what I saw. Yeah same here. I could see blood, guts, murder, excessive swearing, whatever, but I was made to cover my eyes during sex scenes lol.

Count me in on my parents never really restricting what I watched. They kept the porn and PPV channels on lockdown, but violence, swearing, etc. was all good.
I vividly remember watching Get Smart, Dukes of Hazzard, etc. I probably watched the entire Mel Brooks movie catalog at the time by the age of 10. I watched all of the Zucker movies, too. My dad and I would watch George Carlin's specials almost any time they were on.

Welcome Back Kotter. Mom said it was because the Sweathogs treated authority figures badly, wasn't a good idea. But I watched it at my cousin's house when we'd visit them and Mom gave up.
