In 1998, I went on vacation to Walt Disney World in Orlando. I can’t remember what hotel I stayed at but to my surprise on their TV, I was able to listen to WCBS 880 from New York (including local ads I believe) and WGN AM in Chicago (with local ads I believe).
Now, keep in mind that this was 1998 and before the days of web streams so for me listening to a radio station from New York in Orlando was weird. I know hotels obviously have out-of-town visitors so I can understand their rationale.
Now, I’m pretty sure that hotel no longer carries channels of audio feeds of radio stations due to web streams. Anyway, has anybody else experienced this back than?

I think I had the same experience while at a Disney resort in Orlando.
Btw WGN radio in 98 was really good radio. Living in the Midwest you could pick up that station at night all the time. They gutted the station a while ago and I never listen anymore.
Fun fact, at least with my car, you don’t have AM radio in electric cars.

This is 100% true; I'm trying to look up the logo they used, which I remember integrating a Mickey head shape into the 880 logo, but I definitely remember having that channel on sometimes at the resort, since my family came from the NYC market.
Another fun fact, though I'm not sure if they still do this today: back in the day, especially before they had big signs up at the entrance to Disney World, an announcement would play over your car radio, welcoming you to the resort and listing things like park hours and other information. For people that drove there, it was a pretty fun way to get that official hello, so to speak.
I'm trying to find all this stuff on YouTube or Google image search, but no luck yet. I'll have to look at the Lake Buena Vista Historical Society's YouTube page and see if they've got any of that stuff cataloged.
