In front of a capacity crowd no less!
Shame the match was 90 seconds of any push he had being squashed dead.
Man, what did this guy do to sink so low that even getting the Hurt Business to leave him alone makes the once over Ricochet look like such a dork?

The booking of that match was just so baffling. Why bother even giving Ricochet that moment at the Rumble and the mini feud with Lesnar if you’re just going to squash him? I’m convinced something happened behind the scenes that led to the squash.

Said it before, will say it again: Ricochet is one of the most mind-bending talents on the planet, but he's become the poster child for the dangers of many big indy/international names signing with WWE. I'm sure he got paid well to sign, but I hope it was really well; dude could be killing it all over right now in other places and making bank and likely building his name up stronger for wherever his next contract came from, but Vince is letting him die on the vine.

One of the reasons they lost my regular viewership this year was how they handled Ricochet. If you can't book Ricochet competently, that's on you, not the fans. I know he wasn't the best at scripted promos, but that shouldn't matter as much with what else he brings to the table. The guy was begging to be Gen-Z's superstar, bringing in the younger fans they struggle to maintain.

Like a lot of guys his size and his style, he would be better off either in NXT or in another promotion entirely. Dude has incredible talent.

Hes pretty much a future AEW talent,WWE has no clue how to use him and clearly they dont want to use him so until his contract runs out hes a waste of talent.

How they found a way to f*** up Ricochet is truly beyond me.
He was doomed ever since he left NXT.
Now he's wearing shitty little shorts and giving the worst "burns" I ever heard.

The promos Vince cut on him felt like a straight shoot about how he felt about him and that rhetoric has only escalated the longer the year has gone on
Can't wait to see him in AEW, Japan, even Impact at this point. Anywhere else.

Never mind who was involved, it was one of those matches where it's like "Why book it that way?"
You make the title look unimportant because the title match went to a guy who didn't stand a chance, Brock doesn't get anything from it except a win and you pretty much tell the audience to not care about a guy the audience, at least at the time, did care for.
So the only thing you did was waste everyone's time.

The number of can't miss talents that WWE have missed is shocking but not surprising.

I’m convinced something happened behind the scenes that led to the squash. Richochet has occasionally showed poor self awareness on twitter but most of that happened before he signed with the wwe. And most of that was from being whipped when dating Tessa Blanchard. So unless he is caring trouble by saying girls in NXT are looking his girlfriend look bad unsure what he could have done... but again with how he was with Tessa I could see him doing that

Yeah, like most of the times Brock showed up and just squashed someone ... it was like ok thanks for wasting our time. hell the Kofi squash came off like "We gave him a title run, you can stop caring about him now"
