Good Lord that was a terrible sketch but that season overall was pretty bad.

Like I said in another thread, the way SNL promoted "Double Fantasy" in the early episodes of that season, Lennon was going to be a musical guest by the end of that season.

I like Charles Rocket in movies.
He was awful on SNL, in part since they were overpushing him.

That was one of the worst impersonations of John Lennon I have ever heard...

This has reminded me of something. There was a show on channel 4 in the uk called the The TNT Show. One night I was around a mates and watching it and well this happened, the show abruptly ended with channel 4 cutting to a hold screen, only cutting back to the show itself for the end credits and not really revealing why. Later on that night, me and my friend hear the news of Michael Jackson's passing but don't put two and two together until a week or so later when the TNT Show itself reveal the reason it was cut away from was they did a Michael Jackson sketch and then wondered if they had the power to kill people they didn't like by doing a sketch about them and preceded to do a sketch about someone they didn't like (I can't remember who but it didn't work)

That was one of the worst impersonations of John Lennon I have ever heard... Well that is Malcolm McDowell for the record.

So... were there any jokes in that sketch? The joke is that John Lennon had a funny talking voice. Also Yoko Ono in general.

So... were there any jokes in that sketch? I think the joke was that John Lennon was whipped. Which I think 3 people named Paul, George, and Ringo might agree with, but I don't know that is between them.
