The 4K remaster news itself is a bit buried underneath the news about the "When Love is Gone" song being found. I remember the news of the original master being lost, so it's nice to see its been restored. Hope we get remasters of the other movies as well.
For what it's worth, while the song can be considered a bit dull, I think it's a necessary part of showing Scrooge's development, and the cut itself is very jarring and noticeable.

This is huge. I know a bunch of people think it so show it grinds the movie down a bit, but I believe it's vital to the story and it's a great bookend when you hear the last song in the movie.

I always liked the song so I"m glad it is going to be restored. The movie itself is heartwarming and hilarious.

I’m glad it can be restored for the sake of continuity and preservation, but I’ll probably fast forward through it like I did on VHS.

What a weird coincidence. My girlfriend and I watched that movie on Disney+ just last night. I hadn't seen it since it first came out, and she had never seen it. When it got to that part, I said out loud, "Wait a minute. She was supposed to sing a song there." We spent the next couple minutes coming up with reasons why they might have cut out the song, like maybe songwriter royalties or something like that. And then I see this today.

Now pony up for music rights and character rights and get A Muppet Family Xmas back out there! I KNOW, RIGHT?! Sorry, Muppet Family Christmas is up there as one of my favorite holiday specials ever. "I don't care if the turkey said the dog was a turkey! The dog is not the turkey! The turkey's the turkey, you turkey!"

The song is good and is vital.
Like, yeah, it's sad as hell, but you need it to get across everything Scrooge threw away.

It looks like Muppet Christmas Carol is the next Disney film to be thrown into theatres on December 18th, I wonder if it’s the new 4K transfer.

So the decision to cut it came from the man who thought Quibi was a good idea

It was only on like a special dvd release or something, and the video quality was drastically different. The Original movie and the one most often played didn't have it. which makes "The Love We Found" not really make any sense as a song without it.
