Y'know what? I'm feeling this feud, and I wouldn't have expected to if it had just been described to me.
Brandi's a pretty logical person for Vickie and Jade Cargill to flat-out target. Diamante and Ivelisse get to put their built-up tag presence to use, since the combinations immediately available (Deeb/Swole, Swole/Velvet, Deeb/Velvet) are thrown-together teams that they can plow through on Dynamite. Deeb gains a character trait (even if it's just "stands up for others"), Velvet has some major opponents to work toward overcoming, Big Swole potentially has opportunities to be both hot-headed and badass as she opposes what looks like a cohesive unit.
I usually don't like "all heels vs. all faces" type feuds, which this comes dangerously close to being. (Britt and Anna Jay being off in other directions while Shida and Abadon feud over the title certainly helps.) But...well, each individual character motivation makes sense here. Nyla Rose wants to throw her weight around now that the title seems out of her reach; Jade Cargill wants to make an impression; Diamante and Ivelisse seem like they may be hired guns, and at minimum they benefit from the associations with a pair of bruisers and a cheating manager. On the face side, Brandi's been attacked; Velvet has been teamed with Brandi, so she's mixed up in it by default; Big Swole is demonstrably quick to wade into trouble if she feels that she's in the right; Deeb seems like a decent sort if nothing else.
Dunno, this just seems like a fun thing to have going, and I appreciate how many potential matches seem possible out of it.
Now if we can just get Lil Swole signed to play the cavalry that finally helps Big Swole defeat Ivelisse & Diamante after the pair run through Swole's series of temporary partners...

Great tag match setup too, Deeb and Swole go from enemies to friends, La Sicaria's get a good rub after building up on DARK
The girls had good development this week, I hope that tag match gets some good time. Nyla, Sicaria's and Vickie are a good stable, Swole, Deeb, and Velvet backing Brandi up also is cool

For as much as it does feel like getting people together and it doesn’t quite solve the issues AEW has with the women’s division, this is one of those things that would be something a) they have set up here and there and b) something that I hope they do have some promos for during next week’s show for more context, even a couple of interview segments.
Heck, it’d be the perfect way to get Jade her debut match if you have some kind of six woman tag during New Year’s Bash or something.

If Jade's first match is just destroying Brandi Rhodes, I would take some amusement that Brandi's ended up with the weirdly specific role of "put over the Nightmare Factory graduates."

Well we got Swole/Deeb vs La Sicaria's, you can escalate it from there. It can continue to get heated and get more time over the Holiday Shows as well Getting girls involved and giving them a directive is and should be the big priority, you got about eight girls tangled up in this, nine counting Vickie as the manager, you can do a lot with it.

I dig it. Honestly, my biggest issue with Vickie so far has largely been that "Vicious Vixens" felt like it should be a name for more than just two people given one isn't a wrestler, and that it'd make much more sense if she had more clients. This works.
Additionally, this gets a lot of women involved in an angle, and that's not a bad thing, either, really.

Jade and Nyla as a team feels like something that would dominate the whole division.

This is one of the best things they've done with the women all along, not so much because it's necessarily a particularly well-booked angle, but simply because it acknowledges there being an entire division of women rather than 'here is this week's squash match' or 'here is the champion!' and that being all they get.
Even just the distinction of heels and faces in the division, there is a line in the sand being drawn here about what is and is not okay behaviour in the AEW women's division, and it's just nice to see.

Not to curse the whole thing, but oddly, I suspect that there's at least some amount of reconfiguring from the Nightmare Collective plans. Big ol' heel faction with a manager attacking people at random until a semi-random group of faces band together...the bones are similar, at least, and NC was clearly meant to be a launching pad for other women's angles. The difference this time is that the talent fits together better. We know that Nyla Rose, Ivelisse, and Diamante are going to deliver in the ring. We know Red Velvet enough to care if she scores a win against any of the heels, and she isn't being unsatisfyingly dragged out of the title picture in order to get involved. Vickie Guerrero is actually comfortable in her gimmick, so everything she says is focused on the matches that we actually want to see. Jade is still a big ol' unknown, but AEW is, at minimum, making clear that they have a lot of faith in her by tangling her up in a Shaq cross-promotion of all things...I can't imagine she'll be Mel 2.0, given that Mel was pulled from TV very quickly and then pulled from Dark after two matches there.

I think Jade has a big star feel to her. Her presence and look are great. She has that “it.”

I think Jade has a big star feel to her. Her presence and look are great. She has that “it.” That's all she'll need. Now obviously, you hope she can work fine, but if you have that factor, it doesn't inherently matter. That's how the likes of Chyna were. You can be a marvel and Jade is a god damn marvel, her body and presence does all the talking.

Well. Tonight's development was fine but not as great as it could have been - at least it got over Big Swole's new finisher on Dynamite.
I'm interested in who ends up taking Brandi's place if this stays a four vs. four deal. Out of the Dark regulars, KiLynn King is kind of the obvious choice...but Lil Swole would be the outright most awesome choice.

Swole's submission finisher looks so brutal. I love it.

I like the seed planted that with Shida distracted, Swole might challenge Deeb for the NWA Title
Those two could have a good match actually.

If not, she's an option. As is Leva Bates, who is Brandi's assistant, but not the best worker. I say the only real choice is Rache Chanel.

I wouldn't think Shanna just because her Dark matches feel like a "future title challenger" build. She's debuted a new finisher and both of her matches back have very specifically put it over as a threat, so she might be coming into the new year with a little win streak and challenge Shida once Abadon's done.
