On Talking Smack.
The last two weeks he has really put over Kevin Owens and Big E HUGE!!! He even gave Billie Kay some shine in her joke segment with the Riott Squad.
Paul doing what Paul does best is one of the greatest things we’ll ever see in wrestling. And the short form show of Talking Smack is perfect. He did more for Big E yesterday in 4 minutes, than ANYTHING Big E has done for himself in The New Day in MANY years. And not only that, in the same speech, he put over Sami.
The man is a master at making people look and sound a million times better.
I hope he’s on every week.

You can make a case for him as the greatest talker in the history of wrestling.
He got so stale with Brock (to the point where I started tuning out his promos), so this angle with Roman has given him a much needed change.

Yeah, he really is great on it.
Just the right amount of time for him too, as he can become over bearing, but he really does his job well on this show and makes you wonder why they havent used him for this sort of talking head show before.

This run with Roman has really rejuvenated him too, and you can tell he's having a ton of fun on Talking Smack. I loved him last week or the week before just glaring at Kayla for an entire interview for not letting him change the order of guests.

The fact that Heyman’s promos with Reigns aren’t the same cookie-cutter “conqueror” promos that he did for Brock (on top of the dynamic between him and Roman) certainly helps.

I think it helps that Roman is a better talker than Brock. So they have more to feed off each other on. Brock hardly talked so Heyman did it and became reputative. When Brock talked we knew why he doesn't speak much because he not that great of a talker. Roman as more in that department. So Heyman as more to work with and well as writers. Since they know Roman can do more.

He still deserves love for many of the Brock promos post streak. Sure it got old. But I rewatch the raw promo after the streak broke and it was sensational. Or when he sang glory glory brockk Lesnar

Personally I think he's stale as shit and needs to go.
Roman doesn't need him.

My question is more along the lines of “Why are we not watching Talking Smack, then?”. Seems like it’s content overload/lack of follow-through on the TV shows mostly, which is a shame since every other week we seemingly get great promos on there.

They really need to promote it more, the show is what rejuvenated Miz and it's a good way to highlight talent missing from the show each week or to continue to drive storylines. The fact RAW has an extra hour and can't get storylines across as well as Talking Smack can in 20 minutes is impressive. I would also have people missing from the broadcast pop up each week instead of double duty from the broadcast stars. This week the Mysterios were missing, I would have had them on over Carmella. Last week it worked since Riott Squad were missing and it set up a Billie Kay match.

That Big E promo was something else. I feel Heyman got a little stale with Lesnar but is finding his feet again as a character with Roman.

Is he still calling Roman the "reignsing" champion? Cause if so, I can't call him amazing.

Amazing what happens when you stop having him scream obnoxiously and cut the same damn promo every time he's out there. Heyman deserved better than the Brock shit he was shackled to, and that's not even Lesnar's fault, it's the booking never changing shit up. This is the first thing he's really been able to do differently in almost a damn decade.

He also put over Bianca Belair as a legit star a few weeks ago.

Talking Smack is amazing. Heyman and Kayla go together so well. I love when he hands her the run sheet/script every week and just goes off.
He puts everyone over, even when he's visibly annoyed by the guest, and the segment with Big E this week was tremendous.

Me; Reads thread title, prepares entire “I mean... once upon a time?” response in my brain.
Me; Reads first line of thread; “Hmm, maybe I should watch Talking Smack once again.”
