According to an interview with Lana via Sportskeeda (yeah, I know they're not the most amazing source), Lana says that the storyline with Lana and Liv will be brought back "at some time"

"I can see the story picking up any time, any day. You know? Like I think it's a very, very compelling story and I would love to revisit it. So, that's what I was told. That we're going to revisit it at some point. So I'm looking forward to revisiting it at some point."

I’m irrationally angry at WWE for abandoning this whole storyline and just plopping Liv back in the lame ass Riott Squadd. I was hoping for big things from leather mama Liv.

But shouldn’t it be done with members of the lgbtq community so it doesn’t seemed forced, insincere, or as a parody? There seems to be a few under contract now.

Hypothetically, yes, but if it was done tastefully with two straight folks I'd be OK with it too. I think treating it with respect is a start for them. I hope that somebody like Tegan or Jake Atlas is involved, though.

I think it was since he was in charge at the beginning of the year, and i remember there being an audience when most of it was going down lol

I would have been more comfortable with straight people playing a gay couple in years gone by, a la Billy and Chuck, just because most LGBTQ+ wrestlers were closeted (or treated like shit by WWE when they did come out, so having it be just an act was almost safer). But now, when there's so much representation and so many amazing people who deserve a spotlight, keeping up with this would be rather insulting.

I think Sonya said in an interview she was pitching an idea between her and Mandy or it was rumored she did.

Even throwing aside the obvious that Vince probably doesn't even remember doing the damn storyline with Lana and Liv in the first place, the notion of it "picking up any day" is laughable when they've had zero interaction since and in kayfabe are on two seperate brands.

I don't think you made that up. I believe I saw it on Total Divas.

If I remember correctly, Sonya and Mandy had the idea but Sonya's partner at the time wasn't into it.
