I think it was because he won the title in early December and the impact ppv wasn’t til today. It was a lot of weeks of both shows kinda spinning their wheels. I hope if they continue its more well placed going forward. My thing is, i'm not really interested in BC Takeover number 200 I've watched that in NJPW for years and it is highly played out in whatever incarnation you want to make it. Give me Shawn Spear in Impact (who honestly could use time there) or someone like Jordeynne Grace in AEW who can put people on notice This is less like a talent swap like we thought we was getting and just more so the same old same old but hopefully it is leading somewhere I don’t mind it as much, but I died a little inside when Callis was threatening Moose on making him miserable for the duration of his contract. Evil authority figure couldn’t be more played out.

I know he's only had one match but this Omega fella they brought in is really good. Hope to see more of him.

Tama Tonga must be losing his mind at the Bullet Club gear.

Omega feels like a bigger deal in impact than he does his own promotion I don't think it's fair to say he's a bigger deal when last year in AEW he lost one match the entire year, he was booked as strong as it gets winning both the tag and world title. If it wasn't for that his AEW run I don't think his Impact run feels as important. Nah. Omega is always great in the ring. But he really didn’t have a character the entirety of last year until he won the title and found his NJPW personally. If you barely know who Kenny Omega was turning into AEW on a random episode of dynamite, you would have no idea what the fuss was about it. He sat twiddling his thumbs during the duration of the elite implosion feud. Didn’t care when he had to wrestler PAC. Only started showing emotion when he lost the tag belt. When you finally got to see him wrestle it was great, but as a character he was garbage.

The younger and more casual fans in my AEW watching circle are very confused why Kenny is acting the way he is. I've had to explain his NJPW time and the Bullet Club to them.

Yea, that was my biggest problem This man was supposed to be your ACE and he wasn't even top 5 in terms of noteworthy characters in the company. He spent the first half helping put people over and taking some L's and then he started tagging with Page who character was arguably becoming the most popular in the company It wasn't until recently, once the pandemic had set in that they flipped course and kept Page a face and let Kenny become The Cleaner. Wrestling wise he was great as he always will be character wise he had nothing

Tama Tonga must be losing his mind at the Bullet Club gear. As I said earlier i'm sure Finn is sitting at home like imagine the money I could have made if I actually owned Bullet Club label and not NJPW All these years on and its still going and he's never really even got to do the act himself here in the state outside of a few tags with Anderson/Gallows and a 2 sweet with Styles

First time I have watched Impact/TNA in about 8 years and the first time ever I bought their PPV.
Good show. Nothing amazing on it but some good to very good matches.
Knockouts tag match was enjoyable I really liked Havok.
Triple Threat was ok. Nothing special and I find it hard to care for TJP.
The Knockouts title match started off as a bit of a mess, I don't understand how there was no DQ for outside interference as the ref watched on at the beginning. Once ringside was cleared thought this was really good. I feel though it went too short and they could have got 10 minutes more.
I'm not the biggest hardcore fan but the barbed wire match wasn't bad. Didn't seem as good as the tag team version that Impact have on their youtube page from a couple of years back though. Some brutal spots though.
The 6 man tag was really good. I wasn't feeling it early on but as the match went on it got really good with some awesome moves late on. Great stuff. I'd love an Omega vs Swann one on one match at some stage. Match of the night for me.
I like D'Lo on commentary but Stryker is a strange one for me. At times he really legitimizes what we are watching but at other times he goes so over board I start to cringe.
Also I love the term 'our sport' as it makes what we're watching feel important but if I hear Matt utter that term one more time. He must have said it 30 times last night.
Overall enjoyable show. Thought we might get a Bucks run in or something though.

So Kenny wearing the Bullet Club shirt means this is really going to turn into an AEW/NJPW/Impact storyline, right?

oh, and a few days ago Anderson is doing a fan signing and claims "People still want me to sign #BulletClub cause I am #Bullet Club" to which Tama replies "*Was". Didn't post the actual Tweet cause of a S bomb but here it be: twitter.com/Tama_Tonga/status/1349910862526607361?s=20

... Gedo and New Japan better not screw this up. Cuz this can lead to the sickest wrestling card in history, which is clearly leading to double champ vs double champ... Kenny vs Kota for all the gold in DIZ BIZNASS

I wouldn't put it outside the possibility since it fits Mox as a guy who will walk into the Lions Den with blood all over his chest daring someone to try him

*sees GIF of what happened with Page/Karate Man* ...So Ethan Page is a free agent, right? Yeah, and apparently he was unhappy with the final product last night. I saw him post somewhere that basically said he didn't think it needed to be produced that badly as the idea of a guy facing himself was comedy on its own and and felt that the production of it was embarrassing. He said he wasn't sent the final product and never even wanted the Karate Man on TV.
