A lot of us complain about the lazy storytelling in the WWE and how they have used the same 2-3 storytelling devices over the last 19 years.
This story has been entertaining and orignal. full props.
I slag Bruce Prichard a lot, but his stories have been tremendously better than the cuckholding ones written by Vince and Heyman

Nope
Carmella popping bottles on Sasha's back for 8 weeks in a row could be better

Thing is, this came on the heels of said cuckold angle of which Lana was part of, which ruined any attempt to make her sympathetic since.

Not really...doing the same exact thing for weeks on end thinking people were just gonna magically start supporting Lana is not good story telling at all.
And now it does not even come to it's clear cut conclusion because they probably realized oh shit we really do not want Lana holding a title.

Yeah I can't agree at all. It's quite honestly been terrible.

I respectfully disagree mainly because I do not feel the WWE will/did go with the conclusive ending to the angle for multiple reasons

Two of the worst wrestlers ever, getting over despite having two of the most talented female wrestlers of the last decade doing nothing while holding women's championships...
WWE, you're BS becomes more transparent as the years progress.

They managed to get me to feel sorry for Lana on Raw so credit to them for that, but I can't go that far. IMO Roman's heel turn is the best story overall while the Mandy vs. Sonya and Bayley vs. Sasha feuds were both better on the women's side.

This is coming from someone who really really has never cared for her much, but it *would* be had they not booked Lana like total garbage for the last year and a half leading up to it. Hell, I'll even admit that Lana is actually kinda nailing her role here.

I'm curious why the hell you would spend months having Lana be put through tables just to have her get her revenge in a two minute match then be written out of the PPV that would logically call for her winning a tables match.

Uh....nah, I'm not a fan of this angle. In fact, I can't stand it. This is like the worst possible way to build a plucky babyface.
Yeah, Lana can sell great and be sympathetic. But if WWE wants her to get over, like *really* over in the way they hope for? She needs to start kicking some ass.
A good win streak would help her immensely. No more fluke rollups and getting beat down, I mean knocking ou some wrestlers and getting 1-2-3s. And sure, it's a trope that's been used for decades now, but it almost always works.

This is what gets me about it. Having her put through tables on an almost weekly basis is incredibly dumb but I can accept that if the payoff is her putting Nia through a table to win a big match. But...they can’t even give people a proper payoff. Hell, the match you set up can’t happen because for some reason, you wrote her out of the show. The whole thing feels like someone forgetting how limited Lana is as a worker and even when she’s used to more of her strength, her reward is not having said build paid off which just makes her seem like a failure.

I mean, I’m not as down on it as others, but may I direct you to the Roman Reigns/Jey Uso story?

Wasn't this the company where it was reported that they're going to put the Title on Ziggler but NOT push him? It's like Alvarez had been saying: It's about getting HEAT.

And there’s honestly so much heat you can put out before people stop caring and I personally feel this stuff with Lana is when most people will stop caring because why should they? You gave Lana some breadcrumbs and then yank them away just as quickly to the point she’s out of the match for no good reason.

Otis and Mandy is one of the best told stories the WWE has ever done. There are stories in wrestling that wish they had the impact of Otis saving Mandy during the Royal Rumble this year.
