Fully expect to get people angry with me on this one, but I am really into AEW's Women's division. Of course they deserve more time on Dynamite, but I think some issues I had with it are sort of fading.
1. Shida not being on TV. Not sure what happened there for a month, but she was off. Now she has a feud with Abadon that's being built, and works with her still learning English, bur using her acting and natural charisma. She's also my favorite women's wrestler and never has a bad match.
2. Not enough female workers. Their plans were really hurt by the pandemic and injuries. Stratlander, Baker, Kong with injuries, Preistly, Miho, Yuka, Sakura, Shanna with travel issues. All they head left was Shida, and other then her, Allie, Brandi, Nyla Rose, Swole, and Ford, all of who had issues with their work, all needed to work with the trainers. That's hard on a new company.
But they rebuilt the company on developing young talent. Anna Jay, Abadon, Red Velvet, Tay Conti, Hirsch, and signing veterans Deeb, Ivelisse, Diamante, and most of all Thunder Rosa. In fact I look forward to the woman's matches on Dark every week, because so many new workers are introduced, and who knows who might be the next new regular, like King, Snow or Rache Chanel.
I also wonder if Omega stopped being in control and now it's with someone else. It seems like almost everyone is involved in some storyline. So hopefully this thread doesn't go off the rails, just showing appreciation for what they've been doing this month.

The women's division in the last month has been great. Most of them are involved in a storyline and 5 matches on dark has become the new normal. They just need to keep this up.
What a difference 6 months make.
Also they now have that balance between youth and experience, which every division needs.
Youth : Anna Jay ( I think she really could be something special. She's a Becky Lynch waiting to happen ) Red Velvet, Tay Conti, Leyla Heirch, KiLynn King, Abadon, Dani Jordyn and Jade Cargill
Experience : Shida, Rosa, Deeb, Shanna and Ivelisse
And the Women that bridges the gap between Youth and experience and should be reaching their prime now like Britt, Nyla, Penelope, Diamante and Statlander when she returns.
It has the pieces in place for a great division.

There are still rough edges but they've better lately, absolutely. I'm still confused as to why the only women's match is always slated for a certain timeslot each week, but it is nice to finally have 3 legit women's feuds going on at once.
Vixen's vs Deeb/Swole/Velvet
Baker/Thunda Rosa
Shida/Abadon
and there's still the slow burn between Conti and Ana Jay that will end up as a pretty great feud one day.

I'm still hoping for that extra element of BTE-style weirdness to show up in the womens' angles, but they certainly do have a talented roster to make it work.
At least AEW currently feels more committed to making the division entertaining than how ROH treated Women of Honor, like some kind of chore or half-hearted obligation.

My only main issue right now is that Shida could always be featured more. But I think they have something good going on right now.
Cant wait for more Conti either.

I think Statlander would be the woman for it.I think if she didnt get injured we would see some of it. Would love for the OC-Statlander relationship to be on Dynamite.

In my opinion it's not where it could or should be, but it does in fact seem like they are working to improve it and I appreciate it as a fan.

To quote a certain wrestling executive, it's a marathon not a sprint. They still have a long way to go before they're on par with Impact or NXT, but they're getting there.

My biggest problem has been that they have awesome women with not enough time or things to do.
They have stuff to do now.
Enjoying that is natural!

Completely fine with a positive women's thread, while the other one is more about what AEW can improve upon with the division.

I'm glad they have three feuds going on. Just have a direction for everyone and more talent will get over.

I like the fact that they are acting trying to improve things, rather than letting the problem fester like it has for a year.
It gives me way more faith in what they are doing.
I am enjoying the division right now, and hoping it gets even better.

Yep it’s def gotten better. The big feud is getting a bunch of them involved which is good. Shida/Abadon is finally giving Shida something to do besides just defending against the top contender. Then you got Britt vs Thunder which is an excellent choice for a feud and should help both of them.

And I’m sure I’m forgetting it or just missed it in the past, but Britt’s move of rubbing off Thunder’s face paint felt new. I’m just trying to remember a heel doing that before and can’t think of it. I’m sure it’s happened, it just kinda surprised me that it hasn’t been done that much in the past. Nice heel touch from the doctor.

The first one that came to mind for me was Jimmy Hart completely burying The Renegade and wiping off his paint (and calling his real name), and that feels like another lifetime ago. Was definitely an awesome moment

I'm glad that not only multiple feuds are going on at once but we're seeing the future blossom on DARK. Girls are getting reps there, and there is definitely a future crop of talent that is gonna help increase the depth of this division.
I'm very optimistic for the future of the girls if they continue keeping this up and expanding their horizons on the main roster
