Back when the old MLW Radio podcast was running, Konnan spoke openly about a lot of issues that promoters had in Mexico dealing with the various cartels. It was pretty much like Japanese promotions and the Yakuza back in the day - you had to have a good relationship with them to even try to have a viable business. WWE only runs there sparingly using concert promoters because they don't want to deal with all of that. As much as they may like the idea, I really can't see Mexico being the base of operations for any regular promotion under the umbrella of a publicly-traded WWE. This is the same Vince that try to carny the Saudi Arabia Goverment, I can see him trying to pull the same shit on the cartels. Call it now, nXt Japan or mexico is going to end up with Vince, Triple H or someone else in a bodybag. I assure you neither Triple H or Vince will ever step in there.

Didn't they already have a show for cruiserweights that was dropped recently?
WWE really should stick with what they know. Every time they try something new, they fail.

Sin Cara Grande as the main attraction. Rest of the show just luchadoras. Thank you!

When all this expansion talk came up it was always a thought that WWE is gonna struggle with the expansion in two places...Japan and Mexico because it isn't just moving in and trying to create a rival company you are fighting a cultural institutions probably even more so in Mexico.
Although rest assure if WWE tries to make headway in Mexico with its own company Konnan is gonna finagle his boys into WWE so he can pinch off some of that WWE money lol he will probably dangle Vikingo in front of them who has atleast 4 more years in AAA.
But then we get into the whole ongoing shenangigans with AAA literally suing itself ..and if FMV chooses to sell off the AAA IP in which they own the apparent rights to atleast in america well *toru yano shrug*

The entrance ramp will be a giant sculpted Eddie Guerrero head, with the wrestlers emerging from out of his mouth.

Oh boy, the WWE is planning to do to Mexico what they did to British wrestling. Got to have a bigger slice of that shrinking pie!
The only upside to this is the WWE are slightly less shady than the major Mexican promoters, but that's not saying much.

So they buried Lucha House Party and took off Fantasma's mask, and now they claim to need luchadores for a tv show. This f***ing company... Just about nobody cared about the former even when WWE cared about them and the latter lost his mask BEFORE coming to WWE and with what he's done character-wise lately he doesn't really need it.

WWEs plan of ' keep creating shows in the hope one of them doesn't end up sucking' is definitely something...

If there was one thing that I never want to see, this is it.
I'd rather see Luchadores get a chance in AEW or MLW, or somewhere NOT the E. The history is too thick, and too bad.
I say this knowing the amount of current luchadores doing well in the E right now.

Oh well, super unpopular opinion here, but if they have a shit ton of talent and they don’t have enough room to showcase them with the programming they have, I support creating new programming to give them the exposure they deserve. It’s more content but it’s also a lot of wrestlers, so what are ya gonna do? You either fire a billion of them and have them fight for TV time elsewhere or you create a product for them to get noticed on your own platform.

Am I wrong in saying they only way this would even have a prayer is if they get someone like Konnan to help in setting it up (not saying Konnan himself, but someone like him)?

You either fire a billion of them and have them fight for TV time elsewhere or you create a product for them to get noticed on your own platform. The problem is that if they do something like this, it's likely not going to use much of the existing talent as they only have a handful of luchadores on the current roster. Which means they further bloat the roster with a proverbial "NXT Mexico."
This is on top of all the big hurdles such a show would run into if it wasn't just a one-time thing. Mexico is the one country that would probably be harder to run a WWE-operated promotion than Japan.
