Don't know if it's been posted, but I just remembered that he was supposed to debut in his hometown but it never happened due to COVID-19. He never got to perform in front of a full AEW crowd.

"This isn't how it was supposed to be, it was supposed to be us fat, bald and useless running Wyatt Family spots in high school gyms in our 70's."
"I will make sure your son knows the incredible man you were. Not the legends people will tell but the real you that very few people got to see. I promise I'll put him over clean in dark matches when he's old enough just like I promised."
Damn. I just... damn. Brodie wasn't just a coworker to those that knew him, he was a friend. And a good friend at that.

I've been a very casual, infrequent wrestling viewer over the past 20 years. During those brief stints where I became a regular viewer, Luke Harper was one of my absolute favorite acts. The best of the Wyatts and just always fun to watch. I've never seen him outside of the role, know nothing about him as a human being aside from what I'm reading in this thread, but I'm really shocked and saddened to read of his passing. I'm glad to hear he got the respect he deserved in AEW. RIP

We've seen a lot of passings in this business... this is one of those real ones, that hits home for so many out of the business and still very much in it.

I know his namesake is a Mallrats reference; He was a year younger than Bruiser Brodie when he died

Man I just realized we were ONE WEEK from Brodie debuting to what would have been a ceiling rattling pop in Rochester and then the pandemic got serious. I thought nothing of it aside from "Ah bummer, well, AEW will go back to Rochester when the Pandemic is over and under control, and then Brodie will rock the house with a monster pop"
That day is never gonna come now... but when they ever go back to Rochester... I really hope they honor Brodie again for that City.

This sucks so much. Aside from his brief but memorable time in AEW, his career in WWE was commendable. His tweets were hilarious and he was one of those guys who everyone loved and you rarely heard anything bad about him. It was shocking to read about his passing and even more sad that he leaves behind a family. I know the wrestling community will help take care of them but it's still just so tragic. First Shad and now Brodie. Two well-liked family men who died way too young. I really can't wait to throw this year into a giant garbage heap where it belongs. RIP.

Bray's post got me in tears again. I can't even imagine what Rowan will post.

I know people have their reservations about Jericho currently and with good reason, but one things for sure about Jericho that I have never doubted... he might be a dumbass when it comes to some stuff, but he cares about people he works with, he cares about his friends.
Kinda wonder if they still have these shirts... would love to see some guys wear them this week.

He was wrestling in title matches as recently as October it must have been so sudden.
I’d always heard he was a nice guy IRL but expected nothing like the grief from the wrestling community across the main companies, men, women, performers, backstage workers, veterans, newcomers, legends, low carders and more he appears to have been universally loved by everyone.
Despite the Wyatt run being more prominent I’ll probably remember him best for his AEW work as from the steak eating ribs at Vince to the dog collar match you could just tell from his eyes he was loving every second.
RIP.

RIP. It was a Lung Issue, hasn't been revealed what it was, but this could have been something that popped up that Brodie knew he was gonna have to seriously treat, er go the big TNT Title win, quick monster run, and hand back to Cody. I can imagine that with the condition springing up, due to COVID concerns, they wanted Brodie to take care of it away from AEW. But this... seemed either much more serious than he and anyone else let on... or it was more serious than most people knew like Chadwick Boseman's passing. Idk if we'll get a full elaboration on it, maybe as the days go by since nows more the time to grieve, but AEW seemed to set everything up for Brodie to get glory, and then take a break... but idk if anyone expected this.
