For how much of a family man Brodie was, it probably hits extra home for new dads like Seth and Mox and new parents in general like Becky and Renee, just how important family and time truly is.

Oh damn... had no idea he was ill. This is shocking.
My condolences to his family and friends... rest in peace, sir.

"This isn't how it was supposed to be, it was supposed to be us fat, bald and useless running Wyatt Family spots in high school gyms in our 70's." "I will make sure your son knows the incredible man you were. Not the legends people will tell but the real you that very few people got to see. I promise I'll put him over clean in dark matches when he's old enough just like I promised." Damn. I just... damn. Brodie wasn't just a coworker to those that knew him, he was a friend. And a good friend at that. Sometimes The Booker Upstairs has a different plan for us than the one we have in mind

I'm devastated.
I'd only just gotten into indy wrestling around Chikara's High Noon. He would challenge Eddie Kingston for the Grand Championship as a send off before signing for WWE a few months later. Brodie getting signed by them was the first person I could say "I watched his stuff before he made it." Always been a fan. The out poor of love and support from the entire wrestling world is eaqually heart breaking. Big Rig, Yeah Yeah Yeah, and Exalted One. One of the best I ever got to watch. Prays for his family.

Really shocking. My username, flowercity, is after my hometown, and his: Rochester, NY. Every time he wrestled here for the E, the crowd ate it up. He was never announced as from Rochester prior to AEW but everyone knew. For the TV tapings they’d have him go over on the pre dark match to get the crowd fired up. It worked, but it was also so silly. Preventing a guy from getting a big reaction never made sense. My fondest memory of him wrestling here was a particular house show match with Ziggler that stole the show.
On March 18th he was suppose to debut for AEW right here in Rochester. The arena would have came unglued. Obviously, Rochester was the first show canceled because of covid. Brodie Lee deserved that reaction, he deserved that moment, but he never got it.
My sister is a teacher in the city school district here in Rochester. Jon Huber worked in her school as a staff member in the ‘book room’ before he wrestled full time. She has no interest in wrestling, but she would occasionally ask “How is Jon the Book Man doing in wrestling?” My sister and him were not close but in the little dealings they had, she remembered him being generous and kind. Which seems to share a theme with those who knew him best too.
Brodie Lee is probably the greatest wrestler to ever come from Rochester. It’s not as if his competition is tough for that particular superlative. But for someone who has lived their entire 27 year life here, Brodie Lee mattered to me. It made me so happy to hear him announced from Rochester in AEW. Other athletes and starts are from Rochester. Someone like UFC champ Jon Jones is from here. Bruce Buffer never announced him as from here. Always from somewhere in New Mexico. But Brodie wanted to be announced from Rochester. He mattered to a lot of people here.
He mattered to a lot of people everywhere. Life is not fair. It sometimes takes away from those that deserve so much more. Brodie deserved more. Tonight is incredibly sad, and a stark reminder of a truth in life that is hard to swallow.

Brodie getting signed by them was the first person I could say "I watched his stuff before he made it." Always been a fan. I remember doing A/V work with a local indy and they brought Brodie in for a one-shot in late 2008 that I happened to be working at. People like to say all the time that "oh yeah I totally knew this guy/girl was special" when in reality they never gave them the time of day until they hit the big time. When I saw this guy get into the ring, he stood out from literally everyone else competing that night, and I knew that if anyone in that building had a shot at making it big, it was him. I didn't follow the US indies too closely during that time, so I didn't see him again until the Wyatts debuted on the main roster in 2013. And when it clicked with me that it was him, I kind of had my own "holy shit" moment. It's just a damn shame he had to wait this long to get the sort of run he deserved and how it got cut so drastically short.

I don't know how much longer I can keep following this business. That is all. Sadly, this business is no different then any other forms of entertainment You just don't have wrestlers die in the prime of their careers but check how many in the music industry or movies sadly pass away I'm getting flashbacks to Chadwick Boseman's death. They were sick without the general public knowing how serious it was, which made their deaths feel all the more sudden and shocking. And you never heard a single bad word ever said about either. Genuinely good people who deserved far better lots in life than they were given.

It just happens, in any form of media, it's not just wrestling Kobe's death at the beginning of the year Chadwick's death Brodie's death All sudden, shocking, devastating in their own ways... it's just not something that you can simply contain to something... you love something, you invest in something, when tragedy happens, you're going to feel it. Whether you're ready or not.

He was Strong in life. His spirit shall find its way to the Sacred Halls where Savage, Hennig, Piper and others now reside Reading this while Lord of The Rings is on my TV in the background is...weird timing 👀

Blue Meanie just retweeted someone saying that "It's Wednesday, you know what that means!" should be the official tagline for Dynamite.
One of the replies suggested using it like SNL, with a different roster member saying it each week.

Like, I just can't find the words right now. Just hearing all these stories from his peers just makes this even more heartbreaking. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
RIP
And if Dynamite were to put everything on hold to do a tribute show on Wednesday, I'd have no problem with that.

Whther it's worked into commentary saying it, wrestlers saying it, even the opening theme, somewhere Brodie's spirit should live on with that quote.

Can only guess no BtE this week unless it's a Brodie Lee tribute show. Only guessing

Dropping my minor kayfabe persona for a moment, I'm shocked by this. I don't know what to say or write. This is terrible news. I was posting on a comic book forum I frequent when a friend there messaged me that the pro wrestler Brodie Lee had died. When I heard the news I was "Nah, you're joking or this is a storyline" my friend replied with a legit link. My heart goes out to Brodie's loved ones. I know he had a young family this will be rough for them. Speaking as someone who has lost people during holidays I can say this tragedy effectively ruins the Holiday Season for them moving forward.
