Not to be morbid, but I'd like everyone to keep Jake the Snake in their thoughts these days. I don't know how his health is, really, but he publicly revealed a diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease a couple of months ago and has sat the last few Dynamite tapings out due to it. I think that was posted on here, but those threads were largely passed over.
After Brodie Lee passed from a lung condition, people should be appraised of the fact that Jake's also got a lung condition keeping him off the road. All being well he'll be able to come back (Maybe he's just taking extra precautions over covid), but COPD isn't something that gets better - it'll probably make him retire sooner rather than later. Hopefully AEW are preparing some sort of backstage role for him.

He publicly stated he was sitting out the Dec 16th Dynamite and resultingly wasn't on the last episode either

We'll cross that bridge if/when we come to it, the last few hours have been a big enough downer as it is without bringing hypothetical situations into the fold too.
We all know the situation with Jake and I'm sure we're all wishing him the best, but let's leave it at that right now.

My Mum has COPD. It sucks. Jake should be at home until he has received a vaccination.

It's something I didn't think about, but certainly something to be concerned about.
That all being said, I don't want to go borrowing trouble. Jake could just be taking it easy and picking his shots. I do think his on-screen time is unfortunately ticking down, but you have no idea how happy it's made me to see him still be the best heel promo the business has ever had, and maybe it's time he quietly retires for real on a high note, and takes something of a Pat Patterson role where he's just a phone call away but isn't making shots every Wednesday.

There are a lot of older wrestlers and celebrities (not to mention our family and friends and stuff) that have health issues. We should care about them, but we can't spend our time just worrying about if and when they are going to die. Let's spend time enjoying them while they are here instead.
