Yeah Jack Gallagher is certainly the sort of bloke I'd make a thread for so I can stick my neck put for him 😐

At that time it was pretty cool that he was the only 205 live guy in the rumble.

So...does anyone know what he's been up to lately? Didn't he return to the UK to face legal problems due to being a piece of shit rapist?

I remember when some people were talking about him like he was a "better" version of Zack Sabre Jr., calling the latter boring. I think a lot of that was that people just didn't have a lot of exposure to the UK scene, and even if calling ZSJ boring was unfair, the tournament wasn't really a good way to showcase him in a short amount of time. Nowadays, though, I think the heel turn and Suzuki-Gun run as made Sabre more liked than many ever, and Gallagher, uhhh... even before the truth came out, that shine had faded hard. Also, I’m sure ZSJ isn’t a rapist scumbag like Gallagher is. Not that anyone knows of. Just had a really unfortunate luck that both his best mates were Jimmy Havoc and Marty Scurll.

With Gallagher and Scurll being who they are, there just isn’t anyone decent left scratching the itch of those wrestling fans who are also umbrella enthusiasts.

I'll hold my hand up as one of those people. Seemed like he'd be a great comedy act, put him in the Santino role, he'd have done great. But yeah, even before all the shit came out, maybe it was WWE running anything decent into the ground, pigeonholing him or he didn't actually have enough in the tank to sustain his momentum then his heel run just fell apart almost instantly. Glad ZSJ is going from strength to strength and is being properly showcased in a way WWE couldn't do, they really made him look bland as hell in that tournament.

Not relevant but I've just spent 5 literal minutes trying to remember who won the 2017 Rumble. Eventually had to look it up. Says it all really. The answer was staring me right in the face.
