Billie Kay honestly has some of the best chops on the mic of this entire division. Her workrate isn't stellar but there's a breed of wrestler out there where "You're entertaining I don't give a shit about workrate", and Kay is one of them.

But being entertaining should be the first priority before workrate. Sometimes a good workrate is what makes a wrestler entertaining however. Like sometimes guys find a personality or good gimmick after the fact. In other cases, the gimmick can carry the wrestler and sometimes they get better and sometimes they are what they are but it works. Wrestling has all kinds, that's what makes the journey fun for some talents. |

But being entertaining should be the first priority before workrate. As someone who has trained, it really depends. Like, if you can’t do the fundamentals and they look bad, that sort of takes away from anything else you might do. But then if you emote enough to be charismatic, those flaws can be hidden in other ways. I think workrate is one of those terms when it’s associated with a type of wrestling rather than the difference of being able to understand something like improv and being good at improv. |

It's amazing (and depressing) that months ago the stories were that Vince was high on Peyton and it looked like Billie was doomed, yet since the breakup of the IIconics, it's been the opposite. Billie's been regularly featured, while Peyton's barely been used.

I do think its possible that those stories were inaccurate to start with, even if they helped influence fan perception somewhat.
Speaking more generally though, the thing for me is that a lot of the time with the IIconics, their funniest material was online-exclusive, and on-air they were limited to more cliche heel dialogue which didn't take advantage of their comedic talent, which makes it more refreshing now that WWE has seemingly changed its approach.

It really is no surprise Billie is the one excelling now over Peyton because more often than now that is how it plays out with the stronger character breaking out post- tag team.
LayCool is one who comes to mind...Michelle was clearly better in ring but Layla was the stand out because of her personality and antics.
